I installed BOINC yesterday. since then it appears to have no work and the messages keep referring to the server having no work to send so BOINC goes to sleep for an our and then asks again.

Since you have no computer connected to the project you would not get any work.

You have to "add" a project to BOINC before you get any work.

All people who made a new account here, are you using Science United? In that case you don't have your own account here with a computer attached, but an anonymous account with that computer attached (and no credit).

When asking for help, can you post the first 30 or so lines from the BOINC Manager Messages log (CTRL+SHIFT+E)?
