I saw some interesting golf tees (2 3/4 inch). The prongs looked like rocket fins. So I thought about what it’s flight envelope might be like. So I bought a pack of them and then went to the hardware store. I got three parts from plumbing and my launcher aka blowgun is now made. It is 24 inches long. I found that I have to use a bit of wading to increase the air launching pressure. So I used a piece of bouffant hat for the job. The target is a piece of printer paper folded twice to make it four ply. The results were good. At approximately five feet. The paper target is doing a good job looking like Swiss cheese. Edit: After using it for a while. I might try to make sabots for the golf tees to see if I can increase target accuracy. I may also get my homemade nerf dart rifle out of storage. It uses air pressure to fire a nerf mega dart approximately 90 meters down range. |

penicillin - As a direct result of the war and the War Production Board, by June 1945, over 646 billion units per year were being produced. frozen foods - there was some done before the 1920's. But it was made popular by none other than Birdseye, who blanched pea's before freezing in that year and by 1928 had introduced frozen foods to the consumer. Frozen meals did not appear until after WW2. Plastics - err RADAR - Battle of Britain "Chain Home" Need I go further... |

A very unsatisfactory generalisation there my dear chap, considering you only arrived less than a week before 1945 arrived. What was said when the 1st horseless carriage appeared? Progress is required if one is not to stagnate. |
