North Korea says 'no way' will disarm unilaterally without trust.
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-un-assembly-northkorea/north-korea-says-no-way-will-disarm-unilaterally-without-trust-idUSKCN1M90JF
Ri Yong Ho told the world body’s annual General Assembly that North Korea had taken “significant goodwill measures” in the past year, such as stopping nuclear and missiles tests, dismantling the nuclear test site, and pledging not to proliferate nuclear weapons and nuclear technology.
“However, we do not see any corresponding response from the U.S.,” he said.
“Without any trust in the U.S. there will be no confidence in our national security and under such circumstances there is no way we will unilaterally disarm ourselves first.”
And I tought that Trump already had an agreement with Kim as Trump said.
Why am I not surprised that there was no agreement...

Trump on Kim Jong-un: 'We fell in love'
The US president told a rally in Wheeling, West Virginia that the North Korean leader had sent him "beautiful" letters.

...never ceases to amaze how snowflakes want a deal with DPRK to fail ..........only because Trump is involved..........time to pull your heads out of your posterior and look around at reality......

Reality: There have been NO nuclear tests since Kim and Trump met.

Reality: There have been NO Missiles launched since Kim and Trump met.

Reality: DPRK and South Korea are TALKING for the first time in many years.......again since Kim and Trump met.

....yup......things are truly 'going to hell in a hand basket'.........

Love that one eye. Trump is responsible for Kim meeting his goal of a working nuke. Just love it.

Oh, you forgot, Kim said done, because we have achieved what we wanted. Process those words!

A welcome change

Then again, who needs mines with working nukes in their armoury...

...but then again, Trump can dive in & build a Trump Tower & golf course in the cleared space. :-)

An example of a "love letter" from September 30, 1938.

Is Trump so gullible to not understand that "good handshakes" and "love letters" aren't enough?

Yes. Short term profits, not long term, that's why you can run to bankruptcy court!

Didn't Trump the Genius from Karlstad said the nuclear threat from NK was over?

As President's Clinton, Bush Jr. and Obama believed they could control the Kim's.

Unfortunately for Kim and the enslaved people of the Country he controls. Trump is no Obama nor Chamberlain type.

Grammatically that makes no sense.
Since you are trying to say something would it be possible for you to use meaningful English?

It's beginning to look like the only thing that will work with DPRK involves mushrooms.......and I don't think Trump or Mattis are people you try to bluff....

Trump is no Obama nor Chamberlain type.
The problem is that Trump is not Presidential and is zero Diplomatic and have no Politician skills.
And have Trump read his own book "The Art of the Deal"?
I guess the Singapore Deal was NK stop nuclear work and US relieve sanctions.
Quite simply really.

The 'use of a Nuclear Weapon' by anyone, anywhere, fills me with dread.

There are AT LEAST 8 governments with Nukes, all holding enmity towards someone or believing possession is a defense against someone holding enmity against them.

Consider :
According to Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Nuclear Notebook, the total number of nuclear weapons worldwide is estimated at 9,220 in 2017
excerpt from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weapons

Then consider how many groups or individuals have enough resources or cash to obtain a working terrorist 'suitcase' nuke......

.....yeah, I'm filled with dread. But it isn't just DPRK vs TRUMP that concerns me, life goes on. I think the possibility is about equal that an atomic spark will be lit elsewhere as on the Korean Peninsula. And such a 'black swan' would likely be just as devastating .

Here's a novel thought....how about first removing Nuclear Weapons from the hands of everyone........then worry about removing firearms from American Citizens.

The first would save enormously more lives.

Well, first lets have some inconvenient facts ...

Death toll from worldwide use of Nuclear weapons, 1945-2018 - 226,000
Death toll from guns in the US 1996-2016 - 572,537

Looks like guns kill far more in the USA than Nuclear weapons ever did.

If you can find numbers for 1945-1995 and add them to the data, it would not surprise me to see that guns are about 10 times more deadly than nuclear weapons over that 70+ year time span.

Know what you should be afraid of!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_bombings_of_Hiroshima_and_Nagasaki
https://gun-control.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=006094

It is very unfortunate that the tea party does not want a world without nuclear weapons and will not allow such a world. Every one of their policies shows they must be master and everyone else, a them, be a slave. This is why they are nazi-brown shirts.
