Set http_debug to zap stale dns entry and get a new connection. I just reduced down to reporting 1 task and the next connection went through and I got 20 resends. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Got 53 this evening to bring it up to the 100 limit. Maybe if everyone let boinc do its job instead of micro managing... |

Been busy all afternoon, just looked at my three and my slowest machine had 14082 SETI@home 31/03/2018 18:14:05 Scheduler request completed: got 50 new tasks My middle one: 135222 SETI@home 31/03/2018 18:05:38 Scheduler request completed: got 26 new tasks And the main one which I was using and not crunching on got 297 SETI@home 31/03/2018 19:04:58 Scheduler request completed: got 5 new tasks almost as soon as I let it crunch again. So my three are OK for a whille |

All the Windows machines have full caches. Can't get any work on the Linux machines. All connections just get internal server error messages from the scheduler. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Getting messages in the event log I have never seen before: 31/03/2018 21:22:32 | SETI@home | Temporarily failed download of blc01_2bit_guppi_58185_72022_LGS_3_off_0027.11251.1636.22.45.181.vlar: transient HTTP error 31/03/2018 21:22:32 | SETI@home | Backing off 00:07:43 on download of blc01_2bit_guppi_58185_72022_LGS_3_off_0027.11251.1636.22.45.181.vlar I have seen the SETI@home news item I guess this is related to the database slowness. My question is will these eventually download or do I have some zoombie tasks? I only run SETI@home intermitmentally now so if I stop SETi@home for a day or so will these stil download or will they be stuck for ever? |

They should eventually download. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Getting messages in the event log I have never seen before: In BoincMgr menu: Tools - retry pending transfers or on transfers page click one and retry now. If they do not help then abort the longest taken transfer. It helps if you go to the Advanced View Transfers Tab and hit Retry a few times, else they could be stuck a while and you can't download anymore with a Stuck Download. Just as usual. Now that the Downloads are moving again the Splitters are still idling along. Happens everytime. Once the RTS hits ZERO again, the Splitters will ramp up again. Happens EVERY time. |

WUs are finally pouring in. Hundreds of them. Yeah! To overcome Heisenbergs: "You can't always get what you want / but if you try sometimes you just might find / you get what you need." -- Rolling Stones |

Thanks to Eric for getting things going again. However i'm now getting sticky downloads, and the splitters still appear to be taking a rest. Ready-to-send: 213k. Splitter output: 13/s And Results waiting for DB purging, now up to 10.5 million (my Valids are almost up to 3,000 now). Even if the splitters come back to life, how much longer can the DB continue with all these files in need of Deletion & Purging before it falls over again? Edit- Ready-to-send now down to 177k, Splitter output now down to 9/s. Grant Darwin NT |

Yes, I wish they would fix the results needing purge problem. It is almost impossible to pull up any computers tasks page because the page takes forever to load, if ever. I have two hosts with over 11K and 12K valid results respectively. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I haven't picked up any work for hours, V8 In-progress numbers continue to decline. Eric posted in the News thread, more database issues. . . Hi Juan, . . I was getting that a lot too. I found I still had the individual server IDs active in my host files so I commented them out. Now I get mostly just "project has no tasks". I love it when a plan comes together ... :( Stephen :( |

Getting messages in the event log I have never seen before: The good news is that the four work units I had stuck in download did eventually download. The bad news is that now on my tasks web page I have four more WU in progress than I have in the cache on my PC. Any suggestions how I can clean this up please? |

Do nothing, the tasks showing on your web page are running slow, they are not updating as fast as they usually do, this is due to the server problems, when the server catches up they will update in real time again. Kevin |

Yep. All my machines are receiving the dreaded, Project has no tasks available. I suppose they will be out of work in a few hours. Sun Apr 1 07:16:08 2018 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks.Blah! |

Yup, all tangled up again. Sent word to Eric, but he may choose to take Easter Sunday off. Which I certainly would understand. So we may be all tangled up until tomorrow. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Scheduler is back to randomly not allocating work. . . Not randomly here, just constant "no tasks available", I will again be out of work in a couple of hours ... :( . . Talk about obstinate bloody servers ... Stephen :( |

Yup, all tangled up again. . . I'm starting to think it is time for my rigs to take a little holiday. All I need is for Wiggo to say "Hey no problems here!" .... Stephen :( |
