Which will my system crunch faster, Astropulse or Seti@Home WU's? |

Depends on whether you actually mean "faster" as in task completion time. MB will crunch faster than AP. However AP will pay out more credit per time crunching compared to MB. But AP work is hit or miss. Been pretty good for the past couple of months but AP work has gone missing for 6 months previously. I wouldn't count on AP work always being available. You can pretty much get MB work always. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

MB run faster than APs, but APs give more credit. But they are not as plentiful as MBs. So it's best to set your preferences for both. |

... and the MB credit is highly dependent on the angle rate (ar) of the packet. So is the runtime between different apps. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=2784838125 MB can pay more than one credit per second. I have not seen AP do that.
