Hmm, I've always thought they were inanimate objects, so wondering how did America allow a real live one into the highest office.

Breaking. Trump tax returns: Court orders president to hand over financial records to Congress

The ruling comes from a three judge panel in the US Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia, and means that Mr Trump will no longer be able to keep his tax returns and other business papers secret, unless the full court decides to reconsider or the US Supreme Court itself intervenes.

It ain't over yet.

BTW: If released. There is also a possibility that this, as with the Russian Collusion Delusion and other Never Trump years long hysteria, just another Nothing Burger.

No one, execpting Trump, really knows.

BTW: Those posters who will vote in the next U.S. Presidential election. The only ones whose opinion will make a difference. Have an opinion regarding what its release will show.

If, the GOP do decide that Trump is a liability, even if he hasn't actually been formally indicted, who will be the Republican candidates?

United States Weighs Options in Response to Turkey’s Assault on the Kurds

Multiple House Republicans are encouraging the White House to implement sanctions on Turkey for their deliberate attacks on the Kurds; The US has been fighting alongside and funding the Kurds in the war against ISIS; Cheney: President Erdogan and his regime must face serious consequences for mercilessly attacking our Kurdish allies in northern Syria.

The White House is now under pressure from fellow House Republicans regarding a response to Turkey’s deliberate and immediate attack on the Kurds, whom the US has been fighting alongside and funding in the war against ISIS.

House Representative and Republican Liz Cheney (Wyoming) stated, “President Erdogan and his regime must face serious consequences for mercilessly attacking our Kurdish allies in northern Syria.”

President Trump, pondering his possible response to Turkey, tweeted, “Others say STAY OUT and let the Kurds fight their own battles. I say hit Turkey very hard financially with sanctions if they don’t play by the rules.”

While many in Syria are concerned about another humanitarian crisis as a result of the Turkish assault on the Kurds, ‘abandonment’ of the Kurds was never the motive behind President Trump’s decision to remove the approximate 50-70 US troops that were in the immediate area, nor is ‘abandonment of the Kurds’ happening.

A White House Official stated, “if Turkey acts in a way that is disproportionate or otherwise goes beyond the lines the president has in his own mind, the United States is willing to impose significant costs.”

Should this happen, and the White House implements devastating economic sanctions, this would leave Turkey inside of Syria with a crumbling economy, just like Iran.

I have no idea. Only that he did a very funny ad when he run for presidency in 2014 together with some other fellow:)
Today it's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rssxqUjavA8
But he sounds very much "Swedish" if you ask me.

moomin you seem to have a lot to say regarding the Kurds.........exactly how many Swedish troops are being sent to defend them?......just asking.
Everyone is always willing to run their mouth but when the shooting starts they want the US to ride to the rescue. I do not agree with the decision but maybe the almighty UN should do something for a change? Besides talk about it.
Because the UN haven't requested any military support from Sweden.
When asked Sweden might engage like we done in Afghanistan, Mali, Libya, Egypt, Congo, Cyprus and other nations over time.
https://www.government.se/government-policy/sweden-and-the-un/
Then Sweden has only a defense. Not an army fighting "overseas" to "protect" Swedish interests in a specific region.
We have a lot of refugees that are Kurds here though...

Just have to. There are so many misconceptions from American people about European countries. Many that are hilarious:)

Yes, Syrian chemical weapons and Iranian nukes atop US NATO ICBM's. Rump is very forward thinking.

The US and Turkey has a very special relationship.
I remember when I was in Greece in 1974 when Turkey annexed part of Cyprus .
It took only about one day before the Americans left.
Not all Americans though. One bar maid and we listened to James Gang and drank some Metaxa instead:)

The US needs to weigh those options quickly. There are already reports of ISIS prisoners breaking out of Kurdish prisons because the prison guards have gone to fight Turkey. And there other reports saying US actions against ISIS have been called off due to lack of local support.

What happened to the 'War on Terror'?

Rump needs an external enemy so he can have a big win for the election. Nothing but Rump EGO matters.

That's an easy one to answer, just declare victory and stick your head in the sand. That's how to make America great.

You all lost. The war on terror commenced 4th May 1970 & still continues to this day. No need to search & destroy external threats.

Who is "you"? Funny that in English you don't make a difference between Singular and Plural. So my question is "who lost?"
