A large number of people want to see him held to account for his actions in a court of law. Impeachment can't put him in a cage for the rest of his life. Not doing it, then he won't be taught forever as the president to had to be thrown out. (He doesn't care if his legacy is positive or negative, just that it is huge, biggest ever)

Then why have most of my friends and family that live in the US, who I rarely discus politics with, asked me or my youngest what do the English think of Trump.

I think the socio and ecconomic relationship between foreign countries (like the UK) and the USA have a great impact. Historic and family ties certainly have a strong influence on the community.

The thoughts and behaiviours of those in the Middle East, Russia and China for example (even if misconstrued) have had a major influence on America's political, ecconomic and even emmotional mindset. (Mostly reactionary I should guess.)

Though I agree in the sense that "it only matters if those with power think it matters" or unless of course "world opinion or action have greater impact than can be ignored."

Trump probably has too much on his plate at home to be overly concerned by us pesky foreigners and our un-American ways and thoughts ;)

If you can get this it might open a few eye's.

What he meant is of course that he (the US taxpayers) increase the budget for defence and science.
Only the sky is the limit.

Well science seems to have a much lower limit then defence...

Of course the moon is part of our exploration of our solar system. Of course we did that (marginally) half a century ago.

moomin, why do you and others insist and persist in demeaning others for their religious beliefs?

What someone believes is between them and their God, or whatever deity the believe or do not believe in.

That's the kind of discrimination that started the holocaust. You expect everyone to be accepting and open minded regarding your views, yet when they voice their own you heap ridicule as do others in this forum (i.e. "Fairies in the Sky"). So what you actually mean is you are accepting of other points of view as long as the coincide with your own. Selective freedom of speech.

You can worship a jar of Ludefisk for all I care, or not, as you desire. Don't make a point of trying to denigrate others for whatever blows their hair back, it just lessens your own position and erodes whatever respect they have FOR your position.

If Sarah Sanders voices her belief in God, if people wish to Pray for The President, that's their prerogative and should not be a subject for disdain just as expression of LGBTQ beliefs or equality of races should not be treated with scorn.
