Gordon - I wish you'd resize your photos. They're huge. The one with the fountain was (print size) 59" tall by 39" wide (2848 × 4272 pixels). This makes the file size huge and it takes a long time for your pix to load on my slow laptop. Also, they don't fit my screen so I have to scroll to see the whole photo. Could you resize them so the physical size is 10" by whatever? In other words, the longer edge would be 10" -- in the example above you would resize the photo so that the 59" side is 10". The resulting width would be 6.67". I believe I mentioned when I started this thread that photos should be resized if the original is real big. Thanks, Suzie-Q P.S. Other than the size, I enjoy your photos. :-) ~Sue~ ![]() |

Sorry about that, Suzie. They fit my ordinary desktop computer's screen just fine without any scrolling issues, so I figured everybody else was ok. I'll see what I can do for my next upload batch. :~) ![]() |

Gordon's pics work fine for me. Is it possibly your browser or it's settings? |

Gordon's pics work fine for me. It's not about working or not working, it's about size & having to scroll around to see all the image. Not all people have 50" 4k monitors, or have automatic image resizing enabled on their browser. Grant Darwin NT |

I reduced the file size. My program gives me pixel and percentage options. I didn't see any actual measurement option. Is this better? ![]() ![]() |

Couldn't say if it is better or not. My iPad handled your pictures just fine when you first posted them. ![]() ![]() |

The reduced resolution is visible on my monitor and it's only 1080p. |

For those that struggle with complex (and often slow) photo resizing here's a free one that actually works, doing exactly as it says on the tin: https://bluefive.pairsite.com/pixresizer.htm I am a "satisfied user", and have been for a number of years - dead simple, select the pictures, select where you want to put them, say how large you want them to be (1024 as the largest dimension is adequate for most use) and hit "save". There are a few options, such as target file type and quality (I normally max the quality), but that's about it. I'm sorry for causing some problems, here. I just wasn't thinking about the fact the files were so big. They all load fine and look ok to me on a normal screen, but I realize now that speed of connection is a real factor. (How quickly we get spoiled by DSL) I just now went back to the website I store them on(imgur), and sized down my last two batches. It maybe might take a bit for them to update and change here in the thread; I don't know. p.s. I just cleared my browser cache and refreshed SETI, and the pictures are downsized, now, for me. ![]() |

I discovered Imgur also has an auto resize feature: ![]() You can also manually change the pixel dimensions: ![]() ![]() |

Waterfox 56.2.3 I think does this resizing automatically, so far I have not had any picture getting big enough to make scrolling to the right work here. And I don't have a 50" 4K monitor, more like a 21.5" 1920*1080 DP monitor. CA HSR built a foundation, is laying Track! PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550 Loco, US's 1st HST ![]() |

I reduced the file size. My program gives me pixel and percentage options. I didn't see any actual measurement option. Is this better? No, still very big. It's still 16" wide by 24" high. I see you use Imgur. Don't they give you editing tools? Edit: After reading all the comments I see that you've found imgur's editing tools and others have given you advice. So I won't. ~Sue~ ![]() |

Waterfox 56.2.3 I think does this resizing automatically, so far I have not had any picture getting big enough to make scrolling to the right work here. I believe the message board software resizes any very large picture so it fits in the window horizontally. But vertically one still would have to scroll if the photo is as large as Gordon's. ~Sue~ ![]() |

My elephant ear plant has produced a flower. I didn't even know they grew flowers! :-O (This is the first year I've grown them.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ~Sue~ ![]() |
