Settlement..a temporary art installation on The Barrows, Heysham village...

Stunning sky colour. Did you use any filters or was that taken as is?

Some modern digital cameras have "digital filters" in the software that can produce that sort of effect.
Fabulously effective - the figures look almost transparent, but I guess they are actually highly reflective?

Mirror reflective I'd say. Like a window into the soul.

Poor design, poor construction, or both.

Windblown?
At least it is a reasonably sized tree - on the Orkney Islands "large" trees are barely ten feet tall, and, even in sheltered locations stand at a distinctly jaunty angle.

I have no idea. If it helps someone identify it, the location where the photo was taken is Mar Vermelho, Alagoas, Brazil. The climate there is what we call Agreste, that is like a transition zone between the tropical forest-y coast and the arid interior.

I don´t know if it´s windblown, it sure looks like it. As far as I could find the average wind speed in the area is between 6 and 7m/s though I have no clue if that is enough to do that to a tree or not.

The sage bushes my neighbor planted not too long ago. They're doing very well. They're xeriscape.
There was just a slight breeze which intereferred a wee bit with focus.
(Yes, I know my fat finger is in the third pic. I think that's a requirement now that I'm getting older.)

And this is Thelma and Louise (aka Weezie), just soakin' up some rays! :-)

I usually get two each day.

We also call them butt nuggets.

A few from the last few still days of summer.

I deliberately focused on the trees not the balloon just to see what would happen:

One descending on the far side of the hill

Even at this time of year the hedgerows can be a blaze of colour
