Dumb Crook of the Week goes to:
Cops took him to his house — then he stole a car because he 'needed a ride home,' police say
Shortly after he was arrested and accused of possessing marijuana and alcohol, Anthony Bittinger had another run-in with the law, police say.

The second time, the 19-year-old from Hempfield, Pennsylvania, drunkenly drove a stolen car and crashed into other vehicles, police told the Tribune Live. He faces charges of theft, fleeing from police and driving under the influence — and has an $85,000 bond.

The ordeal started just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a police report obtained by CBS Pittsburgh. Police say they found Bittinger with marijuana, a scale and tea spiked with alcohol in an alley and arrested the teenager for possession and underage drinking.

Officers drove the teen back to his home, police say, but it wasn't long until he wreaked havoc.

Bittinger stole a car about half a mile from his home and took it for a drunken joyride 90 minutes after his first arrest, police told WPXI11. He rammed into several other cars, police say, and ignored an officer attempting to make a traffic stop. The car stopped working, and the teen allegedly ran away.

Too stupid to be allowed out in public without adult supervision.

Thanks Carlos, Kittyman, Mike, and Anniet.

FB is up to about 27, so far.

Good news: I'm 58 now, 4 more years and I'll be older than My brother who was 61. I'm taking 500mcg of B-12 these days, seems to be helping, I've gotten a lot more done than I used to before that.

Bad news: I have to get a CT scan of My lungs before August in Barstow, My Doctor thinks I have emphysema, He saw scarring in an xray of My lungs, probably from pneumonia that I had at one time, I just need a cool day, I'll be calling them Monday, hopefully they have an opening on Tues or Wed, both are cool at 102F, today was 112F, Grace is ok.

Otherwise I'm chugging along, I'm building a 3rd and 4th PC for the winter here for the heat(3-E5-1650v2 cpus, 1-X3480, 2-X5675's, only the 3480 is a Quad, the rest are all Hexes), My Coleman 2.5ton gas furnace is 31 years old and has no new parts, the last repair was with hard to come by scavenged parts, in August I have an appointment for an estimate for a Goodman heatpump w/a backup heat source or a new gas furnace, the company is a 2 person outfit. I've got lots of Win 7 OS covered too, in 2019 I plan on installing 2 new custom sized dual pane vinyl windows and maybe a 2nd LG window a/c unit @ 8000 BTU's for the other half of the home depending on what the estimate is for, the back bathroom is usually 5F lower than outside in the summer, of course the entire southern California area around Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange counties is roasting to one extent or another, My sister in law thought She moved to a cooler area, it was 118F there today, that shall pass, I hope. Plus there is work on My car, the front brakes have crappy rotors now which have been refunded by Amazon, as they were New and yet warped(Raybestos), below 40mph they are ok above that they pulsate, I even had a caliper replaced as an old one was leaking, yes I'm going to get locally sourced slotted and drilled rotors, it's My mechanic's idea, which are about $182 before 7.75% sales tax and any labor, hopefully the Bendix semi-metallic pads won't need replacing. I still have to install the Bendix shoes for the rear, the current ones squeak from dust that's about $90, rear struts $252 to install, O2 sensors $117 to install.

An auspicious day indeed. I never knew that they'd set up such a day to celebrate my birthday - until now. Everyone is invited to raise a slice of chocolate birthday cake in my direction!

Thanks Lynn and Betreger.

It's raining and was thundering outside and Grace is watching the rain, so far that's all it is. It's still 106F outside and 81F at the useless thermostat, useless cause the 31yr old Coleman gas furnace doesn't work anymore.

In or after June 2019 things should get better around here, the state is allowing people like Me to get SNAP from $140 to $170 a month, I'm hoping for $170 for Myself. It will take time to integrate 1.3 million people into the system that has excluded them since 1974. And in 4 years I'll be able to apply for Social Security.
