FYI - MS just pushed new NVidia driver 388.13 for Win 10. Apparently this time it may include OpenCL, unlike any previous pushes of NV drivers. HOWEVER, any SoG 8.20 tasks fail with "postponed 30 seconds" message in task log, and will never start. Downloaded fresh 388.13 from NVidia site, had same result. so perhaps not just missing OpenCL from MS. Fell back to 382.33 and am back in business. |

No issues on this Host 8030022 with the 388.13 drivers even before the FCU was pushed on that machine this afternoon. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Yeah, sorry for having two separate threads going on this; So now I have it working fine on both Xeons, but despite best efforts will not work on the C2Q. Shrugs. I'll post here if I figure it out, but clearly not the generic issue it first looked like. |

I have seen this before - 100's of postponed 30 second messages and only a little work done. You need to allocate more memory to the projects. Set boinc use %100 or, in my case, I had to also add more physical memory. |

According to HWInfo, current physical and virtual memory usages are both under 40%. Box has 8gb installed. |

Unaccountably, my boinc settings memory usage on one of my systems was set for only %15 available for boinc. I saw the message "gpugrid unable to run insufficient memory" or something like that and I went to settings and discovered the %15 and changed to 100. I checked a couple of other systems and found one that had at least 700 message from SETI about 30 second delay. That system had 4 gb of memory and I added two more sticks and never saw those again. YMMV. |

On another subject, I just discovered that my Dell 730 system is capable of 16gb of memory even with a core 2 duo. Seems like NVidia did something right with their 790i chipset. I wrote to an eBay dell distributor who had sold 8 of those 730 motherboards at $48 each and told him they come with a bios supporting free install of Vista and can handle 16gb using 4gb sticks. I bought one before I told him that. |
