Message 1888649 - Posted: 8 Sep 2017, 16:40:42 UTC - in response to Message 1888589.

And how much of the world, or even this country, would be declared 'uninhabitable' if the undefinable risk of natural disaster were taken into account?
Like maybe the entire west coast. Or the entire state of Florida?

The rising sea levels will solve the "Florida problem"

I was thinking the lack of pressure behind the fresh water in the Floridan aquifers, might solve the "Florida problem" sooner.

That would invite more salt water to flow in.

Nah, just build a hundred coal powered seawater desalination plants, and that particular problem is solved.
After all, global warming due to emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, is just a hoax the Chinese came up with.

One way of easing the problem is to stop irrigation of lawns and golf courses;-)

N.B. You are not allowed to use the phrase g______ w_______ in Florida.

Solar and Wind are less expensive than Coal, Coal is very heat intensive, liberating all that carbon to make water, and Musk is making Utility scale batteries for Solar and Wind to even out power delivery 24/7/365. But then Natural Gas fracking is eating coals lunch, and natural gas is less expensive than coal.

That was the point.

Here is the story behind the photo. Long lens can make the back ground look a lot closer than it actually is.
