Watch out for the Creator's update. I installed it and saw my RAC drop by 50% at Einstein. I rolled it back.

I did the Creator's update last week on my W10 box and it's Einstein production was not affected but my RAC dropped a fair amount due to pendings growing quite a bit. For the lack of anything else I blame that on the WOW event. I posit many crunchers are ramping up Seti and not crunching as much Einstein.

I have a laptop with Windows 10 Home ed on it, I know how to move the cursor around, but that's about it, I like Win 7 Pro x64, but then 7 wasn't any harder to run than any other previous version of Windows, MS screwed the pooch on 10. Of course the laptop itself was free. Sigh.

I could probably learn to use 10, but liking it would take a lot longer. When it first came out, they said it was designed to work the same way as the phone and tablet OSes, but I don't want my computer to work that way. I only tolerate it on my phone because I have to.

I accepted the laptop, they don't know about what I said about 10 just now, and it doesn't seem to be the original OS, which I think might have been 7, since I don't recall seeing 10 on the laptop at all, not until I got it, they were going to give it to charity, but offered it to Me 1st.

I'm sticking with 7 as long as I can. I suppose eventually I'll get a new computer and it will have 10 on it and I'll learn to live it, but I will never "upgrade" my 7s.

Why? Do what a lot of us DIY crunchers do. Build your own as you want it done. So you can keep 7 as long as it's viable.
