A little slow going but love the ones so far :))) Thank you. Circumstances mean I will need to pass judgement by late afternoon my time, however many captions there are. I knew it was possible and probably should have deferred to Jaundiced Eye right from the start. I did consider it. |

I completely forgot I had to judge this. Thank you to all those who played :) In the category: Never give advice until it is too late to make a difference, the Special Mention Award and joint third place - goes to Jaundiced Eye :) Sirius :) and Sir Ffing :) In second place, with : His/her tramp stamp: "Opn other end e's are optional" :) is the Holy Hand Grenade :) The win, and first place (yes people, I'm feeling generous) for his attempt to find a bright side, is the Admiral for: At least the tattoo was not across the top of your buttocks. :)) I will now do the pm thing... |

Sorry for not declaiming this earlier. I will have to decline the win. Life stepped in the way. Grandmother is in the hospital and they are talking about doing a spinal corrective surgery tomorrow if possible. She's 86 but the doctor said what he wanted to do to her L1 vertebra is a simple procedure. Something about putting a balloon in her spine and using it expand the breaks to be able to use a cement like compound to glue the bone back together. But her T cell count is up from 14 to 30. And she has a infection of some kind. So plans are touch and go. So Paul. You get the win this round. So will someone pm him. Have to go. Cell coverage is spotty where I am staying out of state. |

My Best Wishes to your Grandmother with Lumbar correction, I sympathize, hopefully all will resolve in a good way. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

I thank one and all for the Second place, and the Admiral for ceding me the honor... I feel your pain, Admiral, having recently lost my mother... without further ado: caption THIS: Meter American Plaza 7-8-16 by Paul Sullivan, on Flickr® If you can't read the sign, click on the picture, and it will open in Flickr®, where the sign is transcribed in the caption. Hmm, that's new - 24 hours, and NO captions! will give it another24... That's the problem with posting pictures that have captions. I have notice people don't want to complete with the original. But I will give it a try anyway. Mechanical Panhandler. |

OK, with a grand total of 4 entries, i think Judgement Honorable mention to Carlos for at least trying for two places... Third Place goes to Lynn for: "Credit and Debit Cards Gladly Accepted." They are, Lynn - that's what the slot is for... Second Place goes to the Admiral for: "Time charities." And First Place and next photo goes to Carlos for: "Mechanical Panhandler." As always, a PM will go to Carlos as soon as I post this missive... BTW, the "meter" in question is in San Diego, at the America Plaza San Diego Trolley station. Take it away, Carlos! . Well thank you for the win. I think I have seen that meter before. I do get down to SD every couple of months or so. Well here is a reversal of a very famous pic. Have at it. |
