Well looking a the dark side the fires are somewhat under control now, what a wild week it's been. the radio was saying we lost 7100 to 7200 homes. what a BBQ that was. LOL They don't really know what started it so far. some say over loaded power lines and others something else. We still have a lot of smoke in the air yet. WE WILL HAVE A LOT OF NEW HOUSE building going on for a long time now.. The old saying red sky in the morning sailors take warning, let me tell you last week it was the reddest I HAVE EVER SEEN. saying holds true, |

Just coming up to 6.30am in Sarf Lunnon and it's 33.6F/1.1C out there. They warned last night of a snap frost this morning. And only 39f here this morning, methinks the thread title needs to be amended. Summer ain't in the air anymore! At least not here. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Do you ever have a water problem where you live Wiggo? seems like you get tons of rain all the time, LOL No we don't Grant, the river supplies the village grey water all year round and our water tanks only suffer drops in level during winter here (but not by much with dew and frost runoff keeping some of us topped off), but we have got our yearly average already (832mm so far) and we're just starting our wet season which could easily add another 200-350mm to that (plus the moisture content of the ground here is already rated at high so some local back roads and tracks are at a good risk of flash flooding). Even the rabbits are lazy around here as they just lay on the ground and let the grass grow into their mouths. :-O Cheers. |
