Only a handful around you way Angela, you are lucky. Down here a couple weeks ago, saw a mom with a litter on her back crossing the street a few doors down the road as I was getting home from work. I know they are all over down in the LA area. |

Ok, I've got a ride, My sister in law the retired RN is taking Me, I just get to drive to Her place, and then home from Her place, the date for Surgery, Monday June 5th, the time I'm told will be told to Me a day or two before the 5th. That's good news Vic - I hope all goes well for you. Thanks Rob, Me too, then after that surgery, maybe I can have something done to get rid of the cysts in My kidneys, which hopefully would get rid of most of My back pain, and the elevated temperature that I have. Note they play pretty good dead. LOL we had some on upstate New York but I don't recall of many of them. They are good at playing dead. I had to wack one on the head once. I picked it up by the tail and relocate it. The critter did not give any fight while being held upside down. |

Look I told the urologists office about this, they approved it, as to the rest, they said no such thing. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

No I told them I'd be driving to Her house, then She'd be driving Me to and from the Hospital, the office was happy with this. Chris S stop this, you do not know of what you are typing about. You may think me a bad person for this, but I believe it was necessary and for the best in the long run. I discovered yesterday a bird's nest under construction on top of my back porch lights. They are large flood lights on a light/motion sensor that only turns them on when it's dark out and there is movement in the sensor's field of view, then keeps them on for 5 minutes. They get hot quickly. I removed the nascent nest. Today, it was in progress again and I removed it again. I believe the bulbs could easily get hot enough to kill any eggs in the nest. Furthermore, it could also set the nest on fire, and then likely the house along with it. I feel it would be better for the bird to build a nest somewhere else, and it apparently is. Point. Set. And Match. Grace will not have to worry immediately food or water. If a(n) extrend stay is needed. A phone call to a person will do. |

You may think me a bad person for this, but I believe it was necessary and for the best in the long run. Many birds will make repeated attempts to build a nest in their chosen location, even after the destruction of earlier attempts. The only way to get them to nest somewhere else is to make the current location uninhabitable, either by "caging", or putting spikes on the upper surface. No pigeons here, they're down the street, outside the mobile home park, but I had to close up the openings under My car port roof to keep birds from nesting, and pooping on My car. I had to use some old or blank pc cd's, I used GOO adhesive, so no more nests, and yes I waited until the nests were vacated. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
