Would you work bent over on a farm field?

In the sun, from dawn to sunset, while getting paid for how many bushels you picked?

This type of work does not get paid a minimum wage, you're lucky you have not had your job replaced by automation(robots), like a lot of jobs were in the auto industry in the US.

From what I've read most Americans can't and don't last beyond 48 hours total.

Earlier in the 20th Century and late in the 19th Century, when immigrants were coming in droves from Europe, parents wanted a better life for their children, like to become Doctors, Lawyers, Firemen, Police, etc, etc, etc...

Some of those immigrants were of Irish descent, and were routinely told "Irish need not apply"...

My family spent 200 years in Ireland, after being invited to settle in either England or Ireland by King James the 1st.
