Answer this: - As a teacher of history, do you believe that any ordinary person can do anything about it other than voice their displeasure?

Do all teachers project their own thoughts & beliefs on to their students & when said students do not accept those thoughts & beliefs, allow themselves to be erroneously labelled by said teachers?

When you answer those questions you might, just might restore some belief in you as a teacher, retired or not.

Not all. But I remember when in high-school when examined in China's history during Mao's regime.
There was at that time "correctional" camps where opponents was detained to learn the "right" thoughts and believes.
However our history book said it was a correct way to handle them.
I said it was wrong in my answer.
I flunked that exam...
