Message 1842894 - Posted: 18 Jan 2017, 18:36:16 UTC - in response to Message 1842819.

Car fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate, an"eighth of a tank" could be anywhere from "almost empty" to "nearly half a tank" thus getting 8 gallons into a twelve gallon tank showing an eighth is not unreasonable.

My Camry's gauge is erratic. It will stay close to F for 3 or 4 gallons, and then suddenly drop to reflect a more accurate reading. Actually, a lot of times, it won't touch F even after a fill-up.

When I first got Toothless, the gas tank had significant rust, and it would leak very slightly from the top of the tank when filled to the top.
I replaced the tank along with the gauge sending unit.
When filled completely, the gauge will read 'full' until I put on 50-75 miles, and then start to drop. And from there on down, it always reads lower than what is actually in the 16 gallon tank.
At the half way mark, I can get about 6 gallons back into it.
Which is a good thing. I always know that the gauge is consistent. It is not erratic.
And if it gets down to 1/4 tank (which I rarely let it), I know that I really have about 6 gallons left, not 4.

‘Ice cream killer’ is so dangerous, she’s headed to a men’s prison

Watch out, guys!

An Austrian femme fatale known as the “Ice Cream Killer” will have plenty of new men to choose from at her new lockdown.

Estibaliz Carranza, 38, will be transferred to an all-male prison because she’s too dangerous to be locked up at a women’s facility, but authorities might be playing right into her hands.

The maniacal murderess has a history of luring men into her web and then killing and slicing up their bodies with a chainsaw.

Some how I would expect there is a short supply of chainsaws in the prison.

Maybe Next Year??
Cowboys (football) fan makes slight change to 'Super Bowl LI Champions' tattoo

There was plenty of reason for Cowboys fans to be confident, but arrogance can sometimes blind judgment.

That's what happened to Jordan Garnett, who got a "Super Bowl LI Champions" tattoo back in December, going all in on Dallas winning the title this year.

... Garnett had enough room to add an additional 'I' if it didn't work out this year, but if the Cowboys don't win it all next season, he may not have space for LIII.

I really hope they go for the "stick a needle in you" rather than the "cut you open" Vic. It's quicker, the recovery is quicker and the chance of complications is much lower. You still have to do the "lie still for a few hours" bit while they make sure the first stage of healing is going OK and you've got over the local anesthetic.

Yeah, Me too, I'm not afraid of needles, or of surgery in general, but then I was out for 2 hours in 2002, while My formerly broken left leg was operated on, 3 titanium screws are there, I'm going early so that I can pick up a local friend, She wanted to come along.

Backstory on Jackie Evancho.
She has grown up, and...........
Her sister Juliette Evancho is trans-gender.
Jackie is to be singing at the inauguration ceremonies Friday.
God bless her.
CBS Sunday Morning.

My personal position about folks of questionable sexual orientation has softened a bit as I have grown older and wiser. This piece helps me to understand somewhat more.

That all things, including man and women, are not always as black and white as I prefer them.
I, myself, have expressed at times a certain association with my 'feminine' side.
I, had things been different, might have been quite comfortable being a girl.
My favorite artists are all gurls, save Clint Eastwood.
My favorite youtube clips are mostly of.....girls.
Why? An underlying wish to be female?
Am I a girl hiding behind a male anatomy?
Could be. Life is full of apple and oranges. Which cannot be compared to each other.

I dunno. And at this stage in my life, I am not going to go there.
If God made me female with nuts, so be it.
It's been sixty years now, and I have gotten along OK so far.

My association with cats, my love of certain things, and my uncertain rage at the world, all can be taken to be female traits. But, I was born and live decidedly from a male point of view.

And there may be a reason that Joan Jett and I clicked the moment we met.........
She is, as far as I can tell, maybe a male in female clothing.
She is certainly tough enough to be.
And as far as I am concerned, that all went over the dam years ago.
It was the pheromones that attracted us instantly to each other that night.
The scent in the wind.
We were both female in gender, if not in form. And a kiss between us was between boy and girl at the time, but who knows what the pheromones were doing behind my back????
Angdrogynous.
The key term is 'mirror image',

I never identified as a woman, but have identified with them, for sure.

Not that I would go so far as to try to change it. God made me what I am, and I am happy with it.
But there are times.............that, if I could, I might love to be a girl. I could be a fine one.

Does any of that make sense to you?

Yes. I like girls/women too.
Most of my best friends have been women.
But I am glad I am who I am and what I am.

I've got a ride to the urologist on the 30th, My friend thinks I might not be able to drive for a day or two after the biopsy.

Is quitting social media the key to millennial happiness?
From the feeling of never quite scrolling to the end of a news feed to those perfect pictures on Instagram, is it healthy to take time out every once in a while? Two people tried it with encouraging results.

A 2012 study by Anxiety UK found that 45 per cent of people who are not able to access their social networks or email felt worried or uncomfortable as a result. Additionally, 60 per cent of those studied said they felt the need to completely switch off their phones and computers in order to have a proper break.

Great news for you - one less thing for you to worry about on the day.
I hope that you recover quickly, without pain, and the outcome is that the growths are "benign", not "cancerous".

Me too, it was My friends idea for the ride, but then My car is good for 33 mpg, their suv is good for 20 mpg, but is driveable by someone who is 6'8" tall, so if I can't bend much, it will be easier getting in and out. I have to bend a bit to get in and out, plus I have to fit thru that doorway diagonally.

I'm guessing the person doing the work will have someone there doing an ultrasound to guide the needle to the target.

So far I still need a tummy tuck(the idea of having someone help Me like a baby is not too appealing), and I qualify for one under My health plan IEHP, but no plastic surgeon honors IEHP, just something called, CASH...

Here We go again, back to Corona, Jan 26th 11am CT Scan of My chest, at least I know where to go to, departure at 9am, looks like I'll be skipping breakfast, since some fasting is required, I think. Why the chest? I don't know, maybe something He barely saw at the top of the last one.
