Heroes & Icons network (137/1137 on U-Verse) will start showing all the Star Trek series Sunday at 8pm ET. TOS: The Man Trap, TNG: Encounter at Farpoint, DS9: Emissary, VOY: Caretaker, and ENT: Broken Bow, all in a row. (All but Man Trap are pt. 1.) I hope the TNGs are less edited than the version BBC America uses. I'm really the most interested, though, in DS9. Been a long time since I've seen any of those, maybe since it ended. I might DVR that one.

I looked ahead to Monday and the times will be different to fit a couple other shows in between, so check your listings. The episodes are Charlie X and pt. 2 of the others.

(One of those other shows is Xena, which always has a silly disclaimer at the end. Today's was "Xena's uncanny ability to recover from devastating wounds was not harmed during the production of this motion picture.")

They're promoting TOS as uncut.

They are. In 11001001 tonight, Picard sat down at the conn and entered the course, and Riker came back to the bridge to tell Picard Minuet was gone. You don't get either of those bits on BBCA.

"Joxer's natural process of elimination was harmed during the production of this motion picture."

Ooh! I haven't seen that promo. Or that series. I'll definitely put that on record all.

There are some fan made continuations of the animated Star Trek online on you tube, the voices aren't quite the same, but the animation is on target. Like Ptolemy Wept part 1.

SVENGOOLIE PRESENTS THE ORIGINAL 'STAR TREK' PILOT 'THE CAGE' ON SEPTEMBER 10
CELEBRATE THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF STAR TREK WITH ITS ORIGINAL PILOT AND FIRST BROADCAST EPISODE!
The 50th anniversary of Star Trek is almost here. Well, the official date. The original series premiered on September 8, 1966. But the world has been celebrating throughout 2016 — and that will continue through 2017 with the new series and upcoming cruise.

As we are the home of The Original Series, which airs weekly as part of Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night, MeTV is celebrating with two special broadcasts on Saturday, September 10.

First, at 9PM | 8C, we will air the first broadcast episode of Star Trek, "The Man Trap," in its regular time slot.

Stay tuned afterward at 10PM | 9C for a very special episode of Svengoolie, in which the beloved horror host will present the rarely aired original Star Trek pilot, "The Cage."

-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
MeTV is an OTA (Over The Air) TV station carried on a Digital sub-channel (example 21.2 here in the DFW metro area). It is ALSO carried on SOME CABLE TV systems and MOST AT&T UVerse IPTV/"Cable" system on Ch 136/1136.

Where to Watch MeTV

MeTV also shows one episode of the ORIGINAL Star Trek series EVERY Saturday Evening at 9PM Eastern/8 PM Central.

I get MeTV here, as a Digital station on a Satellite TV UHF Translator, all the channels there are in SD only, DishTV charges the County of San Bernardino $3,000.00 a month for this, for that there are either 11 channels or maybe 12 now, there has been 12 channel capacity for years of course.

Unfortunately, DirecTv Satellite doesn't carry MeTv. I'd have to get a digital antenna and pick it up on 32.2 here.

From Cnet.com: We're ahead of schedule to turn Star Trek tech into reality
Most of the sci-fi franchise takes place centuries in the future, but some of the technology from the universe of Kirk and Picard could be a reality sooner than you think.

I think I'll be watching StarTrek the Animated series on DVD, in widescreen all day, not hard to do, there are only 22 "half hour" episodes.

I have the first two on my DVR from Sunday evening. Haven't watched them yet. Getting behind on other stuff. I think I have 25 MASHes on it right now, plus several other Treks.

StarTrek the Animated series was Copyrighted in 1973, but according to title 17 from before 1998, the copyright could lapse in 2068, not unless the DMCA applies retroactively, and I'm not sure it does, or not, CBS/Paramount is being ridiculous, but that is only My opinion.

On Youtube, if you ignore the voices being, different, then there is a 6 chapter episode made that's entitled "Ptolemy Wept", which I gather been online since 2011, which so far has not been taken down, for what reason, I do not know.

One of the co-stars is 5066 years of age and is very human.

They said that ALL the ST series will come to Netflix here in austria before Discovery starts next year. I wonder if that includes The Animated Series. Have never seen it.

Since CBS/Paramount made the animated series, I'd think they would.
