As reported over in the crunching forum there is a new version of BOINC out:

> ...Well, a new core client, v4.14, is now
> available for all platforms except Mac....

BOINC Download Page

Backed up my boinc folder and just upgraded to 4.14 on XP.. Works fine here and was back crunching within 3 minutes of download.

The system requirements on that page need to be corrected. Minimum memory is 64MB.

The 64MB requirement comes from the S@H application and not BOINC.

Different science applications may have different requirements.

I just posted the Mac client.

Is this one faster?

Is there major reason I need to upgrade? If not I'll wait for a couple of days while ya'll work out the kinks... :)

It fixes some upload/download issues, and the work distribution problems that predictor@home is facing.

AH-HA I knew it.. The issue Guido said was fixed for Enstein@Home does affect Seti@Home..

A very good reason not to wait to upgrade..

Thanks Rom.
