Message 1852121 - Posted: 1 Mar 2017, 11:55:41 UTC - in response to Message 1849910.

I remember it very well...
The coldest day in Chicago history was January 20, 1985. It was 27 degrees below zero that day.
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/01/06/the-coldest-days-ever-in-chicago-2/

I was out that night (or maybe it was a year earlier when it was 26 below). I left a friend's house at about 1 a.m. My car started okay and backed out of his driveway, but then it took several minutes for the transmission fluid to thaw out enough to go forward.

Multiple tornadoes went through within an hour's drive to the south of me. Lots of damage, including a nursing home. The village of Naplate has about 50 of its 200 homes damaged or destroyed, and major damage to the Pilkington Glass plant. One person was reported killed in the larger neighboring town of Ottawa.

I only got the edge of a thunderstorm without even a significant amount of rain in the first round. Later, a second round of storms came through and gave me more rain, thunder and lightning, and less than a minute of hail.

I seen that posted this morning, man that was bad, My sister said they said she was going to get high winds today but the real high winds didn't get there until late today but real heavy rain last night in Niagara Falls NY. They had winds about 50 to 60 she said. A freeze moving into tomorrow. Welcome to spring time in NY.

Except such a thing as a blue sky and next the ice we more or less could believe could believe be white in color, we most likely do not see Eve wearing gloves around on her hands,
except nothing else.

Read a bit down and such a thing is supposed to kill as well, meaning that of tornadoes rather than that of hurricanes.

Any such thing as that of perhaps "tears in the rain" and she, or perhaps such a thing could be there for a possible excuse for such a thing.

You never know, in fact.

Next, say "hello, goodbye" and you probably have a melody for such a thing as well.

Crap, it's getting cold here. Hopefully the last cold snap of the season.
Now at 17f, destined for 7f tonight.
The kitties and I should stay warm enough.
8 crunches and one additional heater going should keep us warm through the cold snap.
Got 68.4f here in the crunching den.

Meow.

Left home this morning with a nice sunny if cold walk to the station.
Train into Burm, and it gradually clouded over (20 minute journey)
Walk from station to office it was colder and spitting with rain.
Now rain proper - and guess who hasn't got a waterproof jacket with him :-(

Quite a comedown from all the record highs of the last couple of weeks. 20F out the door this morning, going up to about 33. 45 tomorrow, 50s Sunday, low 60s Monday, depending on who you listen to.
