We hit I high today of 66ºF with a real short shot of rain which didn't get much wet.

Rain in the forecast tonight around Midnight. I think we have got more rain out of a dew in the morning. :))

I heard that they let the people back in the oroville area now, no one got hurt up to now.

Record highs are in peril for Saturday and Monday. Absolutely doomed is the record of 60 consecutive days this time of year without an inch of snow falling.

Record high today is 60F, from 1880. Expect to at least tie it.

Record for Saturday is 62, also in peril.

Sunday will have wind off the lake, which might keep the city's official record safe, but it could shatter out here.

Records continue to be endangered for the next few days as well.

The news says So Cal is going to get very very wet today. They can use it if they can handle the flooding.
Good luck to the residents of the lower left coast.

WOW...............what a warmup for mid February...............
This is in Wisconsin, land of the midnight chill.
It is over 50f today already.
Meow meow meow.
Had to open a door to let some of it in, because the crunchers were getting warmer than usual.

I do hope this is not another false spring, where God's creations bud out and then get stunted by a sudden sub zero freeze. I love my spring budding, just hope it does not come far too early.

what a screwy year, according to the weather channel that this is the most rain in any one year since they started keeping record back in 1882.

we are just abut 50 inches so far. 5 more days yet on this storm

We have had more rain than LA but it looks like they are getting their share now.

All the dams are full and now we will see just how good they are..

52ºF and a break in rain for now.

+1 to that, BBC says California hit by 'bombogenesis', biggest storm in years
Meteorologists describe the "bombogenesis" as an intense extra-tropical cyclonic low-pressure area, or "a weather bomb".
"The storm looks to be the strongest storm to hit southwest California this season," the National Weather Service said.
"It is likely the strongest within the last six years and possibly even as far back as December 2004 or January 1995."
Gusts of 87mph (140km/h) were reported on the Big Sur scenic coastal highway.
Ryan Maue, a meteorologist for WeatherBell Analytics, told the Los Angeles Times that 10 trillion gallons of rain would fall on California in the next week, enough to power Niagara Falls for 154 days.

Can We blame tRump for this? ;)

If we can go any of his other claims, then no doubt he will take credit somewhere, for delivering water to parched California.

Fun figures
1 inch of rain = 27.154 Gallons of water per acre
50 inches of rain = 1,357,700 gallons
we have 20 acres here = 27,154,000 gallons

One wouldn't think you could get so much out a storm.

More rain tomorrow for 3 more days.

a trillion gallons isn't hard to get

67F in Chicago yesterday not only blew away the old record high but also was warmer than Los Angeles for only the 11th time in recorded history for February.

We are also looking at tying the record for the longest stretch of 60+ in winter, the standing record being five days, 2-6 December, 1998. Forecast is for 66 today, 61 tomorrow, 66 Monday, a possible streak buster 59 Tuesday, and 63 Wednesday. If Tuesday makes it, we'll have a new record. It could even get extended if we exceed 59 on Thursday; they say 67 Friday. But that's it: a strong cold front Friday will bring us back to reality, and the first two weeks of March are looking nasty.

I remember it very well...
The coldest day in Chicago history was January 20, 1985. It was 27 degrees below zero that day.

I see that a while ago, Oh it's still raining alright but seemed to split up a bit some going more north and to you.

Heavy rain at times but mostly slow and steady.

Rain fall right now is 48.78 inches for the season, my guess was 50 but looks I'm going to get beat out very soon.

4 foot a rain here is unheard of around these parts in the first place. LOL

I'm ready for some sunny days folks. LOL

I'M Selling ARK tickets if it gets to 5 feet. LOL

My sister lives in Texas and was saying they are pretty dry down there, I was thinking with all those storms they have had it would be plenty wet enough. But she said no it's not that way.
