Looks like it's going to be one hell of a spring in a lot of areas with all the flowers popping out early and you just know old man winter will be back for it's final good bye. seen that so many times in upstate New York and set back the growing season by a lot.

It's been a wild ride for a lot of us, I'm just wondering what summer is going to dish out this year.

Looks like we will end up with about 51 inches by the end of the month for the season.

temp is 37ºF

The wind blew out My gas pilot light on My furnace sometime earlier I suspect, I was wondering why the furnace did nothing, so until I can get a multi sparker, I'm out of luck, I tried to relight the furnace pilot light, but being windy, it's as the furnace guy said, nearly an impossible task when windy, so the PC and MY LC 580 will just have to do. I know the procedure, the furnace just has too much draw right now cause of the wind, wind W @ 15mph, gusts to 34mph.

The capsbc said I'm due for weatherization to come out in March, I'd put in a request for 3 new windows, 2 doors, and a new gas furnace/ac system, My current furnace is too old for electronic ignition, even as an upgrade, the repair guy said to adapt one would cost as much as a new furnace, and I don't have $2000.00 laying around.

I increased My video card from 657MHz where I normally run My PNY LC 580, to 857MHz, which is the stock speed for this Liquid Cooled card, the air is already feeling warmer, gpu temp is at 57C, not bad for a Water Cooled card.

Same reason it seems that the nicest days of the week fall on workdays.
God has his ways, my friend.

Hope you are up and about soon.

38F outside this morning, two old twin quilts on the queen sized bed, I was warm all night, the PC kept Grace warm, or rather the output of My PNY LC 580 video card did, the thermometer says 70F in here now, yes I have My oven on @ 350F, I've determined 3 times a day does the job, and when I go to bed, the oven is off.

I do have a Carbon monoxide detector picked out on amazon, it's the First Alert CO605, this is a plug in unit w/a battery backup, and the detector has a 4.5 star rating.

63°F/17°C. Partly cloudy. Humidity = 76%. We saw a spectacular rainbow, after one of the afternoon showers; it had extra
colors, beneath the regular one. Down to 37°F, tonight.

Another cool damp morning here in the highlands as this easterly keeps up blowing coastal drizzle at us for the 3rd day in a row. :-(

We kicked off at 14C here today and we're trying for a max of 21C, but we havn't done to well lately reaching our expected max's here, and currently it's still 14C as we wait for the wind to pick up.

Cheers.

39F this morning here, feels like 35F, humidity 63%, windchill 35F, dew point 32F, the sun is out in a partly cloudy sky, rain?

Nothing currently, I'd have a bigger risk of sneezing than seeing rain here, so far.

I remember it very well...
The coldest day in Chicago history was January 20, 1985. It was 27 degrees below zero that day.
http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/01/06/the-coldest-days-ever-in-chicago-2/

I was out that night (or maybe it was a year earlier when it was 26 below). I left a friend's house at about 1 a.m. My car started okay and backed out of his driveway, but then it took several minutes for the transmission fluid to thaw out enough to go forward.
