She has passed on to a far better place than I currently inhabit.

God gently lifted her soul and placed it upon the Rainbow Bridge where it belongs.

She has now left her cancer battles behind her and runs and plays and chases imaginary mice as she was meant to do. She once again runs and plays in any imaginary world she wishes to. A place I could no longer give her, no matter how much I tried from THIS earth. My resources were exhausted, as were those of the Lord above. Tigger II simply had to move onward.

I believe, or rather I KNOW, that her soul shall watch over me and guide me for the little time I have remaining on this earth. She shall never leave my side.

Tigger shall be laid to rest tomorrow out in the back yard.
Next to Squirrel, another loyal companion.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
It is all inevitable, but fight it we must.

What happens between those two stages is what
defines a man.....or a kitty.

God, if you believe in such things, as I do, know that Tigger is now in a better place. / Certainly one better than the one she was having here with cancer and a hole torn in her throat.

Tigger is now in a more quiet zone, much more than any I could afford her here.

I wish to see such a place, but God had deemed that humans are not allowed to live or leave life with such dignity intact.

Such is the life of human beings,
but our companion animals are under OUR control, not God's directly, although some of us understand his directives.

And so, I ended Tigger's life today.
Because I knew her life her life had already come to it's end.
And because, my friends, I knew it was the right choice for Tigger.
She had no other end point. There were no other options. No treatment available.
When she opened that wound up in her throat.....and nothing other than life pouring out of her was apparent....she was looking at me and said.............it is time, Mark.
I love you so much, but I have to go now.

She ended her life as it began.
Very peacefully.
More so than if I had let her endure life on the kitty tower with a her throat torn open wide.

I held her as the vet gave her the parting shot...her eyes still open wide.

But, the point is...she was seeing anything with those wide eyes any more.
They were simply vacant.

Tigger had already left the building, and there was nothing left inside.
Time to put her body to sleep as well.

Tigger, as I knew her, left the building long ago.
And the dear kitty that she was, waited a long long time for me to catch up with her.

It's not like it was a sudden event, as much as the brick road came up.

And I have been looking for and stumping for the shelter kitties for years and years and years now.
If I ever need some more pussy, you know exactly where I shall go.........and than would not be a chicken shack....LOL.
