Hey, it's a legitimate question. I'M half German (Bruckman/Brockman and Meyer). Now depending on Susie's political leanings, suggesting that she bears a close resemblance to Hillary Clinton may have been cause to duck and cover....

edit) If I were related, however distant, to Hillary Clinton, I certainly wouldn't claim her......

Hilary would make a better President then her hubby, and a vastly better one than that damn Alaskan woman.

As a retired military member who once held elevated security clearances, I have to most strongly disagree. I have serious questions about her integrity, ethics, and judgment. And I'll end with that, lest we wind up in Politics.

An amazing achievement, my mother succumbed to ALS at age 88, but was only diagnosed with symptoms 4 years prior and she was ambulatory until the last 3 months. My cousin, on mother's side, suffered for many years in the approximate condition of Dr Hawking.

A terrible affliction that takes many paths to the same end.

I have to agree. I would have voted for Hillary had Bernie not come
along, and I'll still vote for her if she ends up the nominee. But
if she really sent Top Secret stuff on a non-secure server, then I'm
really pissed off. I also had a very high security clearance (TS/SI)
and had access to even "more that Top Secret" things while stationed
at NSA. First, If I or Don had done that, we'd have been drawn and
quartered. Second, it just ticks me off that someone would have no
respect for classified information. Some of that stuff, if it were
to be leaked, could get people killed.

And now I'll leave off from politics, too.

Well, my ancestry is mostly German, with a bit of Dutch.
Both of my Father's parents immigrated from Germany. Sattler...very German.
Not quite as sure about my Mother's parents, but her maiden name was Knuijt....very Dutch.

As I've mentioned before, my direct male line 11th ancestor came to Massachusetts from Goudhurst (herst?) in Kent. It is believed that his wife is from the Adamses whose descendants were the 2nd and 6th POTUSes.

My grandmother was from the Pennsylvania Dutch, probably arriving here as a Hessian mercenary who stayed after the revolution. I don't know much more detail than that.

My mother's side is Polish and Ukrainian, arriving in the late 1800s.
