I reverted back to running seti ati ap tasks and installed .e2942 ati ap app after removing old v8 app. I let boinc read the local config file and config files in boinc manafer. And after watching an episode of Farscape I saw that boinc has dl 100+ of the old v8 app tasks. I forgot to restart boincmanager to initiaise propery on this machine.... Os there any swift way to get rid of the v8 tasks so they doesn't remain until deadline which happens to be some day in Mars? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7358242&offset=0&show_names=0&state=1&appid= Anyone?? |

In BOINC just highlight the tasks you don't want, and click "Abort" They will be released and resent to other users. |

then you can't do anything, they will time out. |

Set NNT and complete all other tasks, then remove your SETI account from that machine, give it a short while then add SETI again, you may wish to reset NNT until you get machine set up as you require. I use this method to remove ghosts and accumilated old files in CPND. Kevin |

If they are on the server, having failed to be delivered the quick way is to detach that computer from SETI, then re-attach it a minute or so later. Any tasks that are genuinely on your computer will be lost, but there are only a couple of them so no big deal. Any tasks that can be re-sent will be correctly re-sent. Thanks Kevin. It didn't work with seti... I probebly need a new install of Boinc for it to work. New boinc then new seti and i most likely get a "new" machine in SETI website. Then after Mars I can log in to my setiathome account and choose "merge computors. I might try that later today. |

then you can't do anything, they will time out. That isn't quite true, while 'Resend lost tasks' isn't fully enabled, there is a half way house, If you double report a task, it triggers the server to do a once only 'resend lost tasks' contact, But you need to be a quite Advanced user to be able to do it successfully.
