(Reuters) - Multiple people have been shot outside a nightclub in Australia and a large police presence was responding to the incident, Sky News Australia reported on Sunday.

People shot at the nightclub in Prahran in southeastern Melbourne have been taken to hospital and were receiving treatment, according to the report.
Another drive by gang shooting it seems as the cops are now looking for a stolen black Porsche involved with this incident. 4 people were hit and taken to hospital with 2 in a critical condition.

Sad gun news:

Pulitzers: Capital Gazette wins for coverage of newsroom massacre

A US local newspaper has won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of a mass shooting in its own newsroom.

But there was no celebration as the Capital Gazette in Maryland learned on Monday it had won the most prestigious prize in American journalism...

No comment (needed).

The 2nd critically injured man has now died and members of an outlaw motorcycle gang are being pursued.

So those illegal weapons used would've came here illegally from the "country of the gun". :-(

The NRA and USA spread their poison WORLDWIDE unrestricted!

Donald Trump to withdraw US from Arms Trade Treaty

US President Donald Trump has said he will withdraw his country from the international Arms Trade Treaty.

The agreement, signed by Barack Obama in 2013, aims to regulate the sale of weapons between countries.

The US National Rifle Association says the treaty amounts to international gun control, and is a threat to America's second amendment right to bear arms...

What could possibly be wrong with that?

What could possibly go wrong??...

A must read for all US citizens. I’ve been a surgeon in Australia for 16 years. I’ve seen only two gunshot wounds.
And this is what happens when a gun-culture American comes face-to-face with a no-guns Australian.

And Richard, THIS is what happens when an entire citizenry EXCEPT the Military and Police are denied the right to possess firearms...........AND it came from the mouth of one of the largest critics of the 2nd Amendment.
https://freebeacon.com/issues/msnbc-report-on-venezuela-makes-case-for-second-amendment/

MSNBC Report on Venezuela Makes Case for Second Amendment
'In Venezuela, gun ownership is not something that's open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power'
MSNBC reporter Kerry Sanders unwittingly made the American case for the Second Amendment during a report Tuesday on the political upheaval in Venezuela.
....""Not only hanging on but he appears to still control the military," Sanders said. "You have to understand, in Venezuela gun ownership is not something that's open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power and as long as Nicolás Maduro controls the military, he controls the country."
Let that sink in........MSNBC..........
Even a BLIND SQUIRREL finds an occasional Acorn....

Some on this thread have decried the 'spread of US made firearms across the world'.........I sincerely hope and pray the US sends BOATLOADS of firearms to the oppressed people of Venezuela.

I'll repeat it one more time.....The 2nd Amendment is about defending The People of the United States from external threats AND it's own Government if it gets out of the control of The People.

And then you have Syria where the population does have guns, so the military uses chemical weapons and barrel bombs.

I think Jaundiced is suggesting that armed civil war is the only way to dispose of a corrupt or incompetent dictator.

The second amendment was ratified on December 15, 1791. Between 1861 and 1865, there was some disagreement over who was to govern the eastern seaboard of continental North America. I hope he's not suggesting that the former was an appropriate precursor to the latter?

A perfect example why guns should be secured when no adults are in the home.

Of COURSE I'm not suggesting what you state. And of course you conveniently left out the REASON for the Civil War was not a simple 'disagreement' over who was to 'govern', it was rather that the seceding States wished to continue the practice of slavery. I HOPE you are not suggesting the abolishment of slavery was not valid reason for conflict. And in turn that people starving in the streets and being brutally murdered is not a valid reason for reasonable people to take up arms in defense of their lives.

No, I wasn't suggesting that. I did suggest a different simile first, but the mods decided it was too incendiary even for politics ;-)
