JE, sorry but it would be nice if you refrained from doing a Clyde. Check the post you refer to as it's not mine :-) |

It seems to me this clinging to the 2nd Amendment is more about fear of a slippery slope that might be created if it's repealed. It's about freedom. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I really get pissed off when a country like the USA clings on to an amendment that is 200 years out of date to justify the slaughter of kids, whom all they want to do is go to school to learn and be a good citizen and go home, seems to me they have better chance to live if they joined the army.. The WORLD can't believe the excuses pouring out other than they care more for owning guns than their own kids/grandkids etc: Thank goodness I live in Australia where it is 95% safe!! |

I really get pissed off when a country like the USA clings on to an amendment that is 200 years out of date to justify the slaughter of kids, whom all they want to do is http://www.politifact.com/florida/statements/2018/may/21/gwen-graham/have-more-students-been-killed-schools-soldiers-co/ We found five shooting incidents that resulted in student fatalities in 2018. The figures below do not include adults slain in these incidents, because they are outside the scope of Graham’s statement. |

Well...........Well..........Well................ By the way, the gun Chuckie is holding is illegal to possess in NYC, and requires special licensing and Federal authorization elsewhere(upon receipt of $300 for the 'Tax' that is). "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

I really get pissed off when a country like the USA clings on to an amendment that is 200 years out of date to justify the slaughter of kids, whom all they want to do is You are comparing apples and oranges here. How about looking at PER CAPITA death rates? Ok... There are about 54,876,000 students in the USA enrolled in K-12. 26/54,876,000 = about 4.74e-7..... or 0.000000474 fatalities per student. Ok, in those 2 military operations there are about 20000 soldiers, combined. 13/20000 = 0.00065 fatalities per soldier. So, the death rate for the military is over 1370 times HIGHER than the rate for the schoolkid. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

Now who's comparing apples & oranges? Troops in combat are aware that wounding/death is an inherent risk. Students... |

sigh. Ignore the little man behind the curtain. So MK, what ratio of death between schools and combat operations is acceptable to you? What would you answer when your kids are in school? What ratio do you think society needs to accept? 2 to 1 5 to 1 10 to 1 40 to 1 100 to 1 1000 to 1 |

And how about the Zero Tolerance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_tolerance#In_schools I think it was Rudolph Giuliani that came up with that concept... |

Hey, why the criticism. I just reported figures in a manner that has to be acceptable, because that's what the President does. |

Major you also not comparing apples to apples. You compared students shot to total student population vs military in active combate zones not total military. Bad argument IMO. |

Major you also not comparing apples to apples.no, its not a bad argument. I worked with what I was replying to... BUT..... Even IF you considered total military, the number of students is still about 50 times more. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. I don't see the point in comparing any numbers. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
