Actions Alone on this Would Cause MASSIVE CASULATIES. This one line demonstrates the attitude of so many in the USA to gun ownership, and their attitude to human life. This is funded by the NRA and other like organisations who exist to ensure that the majority of peaceful law abiding citizens of the USA live in total and abject fear of the minority of villains who see owning and using guns as the only solution to their problems (whatever those problems may be). Now to gun control - note the word "control" is not the same as "prohibition". The former means restriction of access to guns, while the latter means total blocking or prevention of access to guns. In the specific case of a convicted felon owning a gun - this is not a simple black and white because there are degrees of felon at one extreme there is the person who has used violence to kill one or more people and at the other end of the scale is the person who has peacefully committed a "white collar" crime and has neither hurt nor threatened anyone in so doing. I feel that the former should be totally prohibited from owning, or accessing a gun, but the latter it can be argued that they may be allowed to own or access a gun. But then, what if they both live in the wilds of Alaska when having a gun is almost essential for protection against large predatory animals that are known to kill humans "just because"?
