I've been using BOINC for several years, but about a week ago started having a problem. I was notified of a new version, which I downloaded and tried to install. I get a message: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BOINC.msi' in the box below." I downloaded it again and got the same results when I tried to install. I still had the old installation program, so I decided to reinstall it. Guess what happened? Same message. All I can do is keep clicking OK forever or cancel. I've done a search on my computer and can't find it, nor can I find it on this site. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info Ageless.
I followed the instructions to the letter and after "FINDING" BOINC and BOINC.msi 10 to 20 times I was able to get rid of them all and install the new V8.
Thanks again
