Tonight it was mixed California veggies(carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli) with chicken, and pepper on the veggies, yum.

BBQ pork ribs. Bought a full pork rib rack and some bbq sauce for the slow cooker. Had to cut the rack in half to fit the 6 quart crock pot. Poured the bbq sauce over them and waited 6 hours on low. Went to check and they were falling off the bone done. Just a little wiggle and pull and the bone pulled out.
Some coleslaw and green beans and supper tonight is done.

Today I bought 6 Foster Farms chicken(Dino) breasts and since they were already packaged for the freezer, I didn't bother to tag & bag them.

Anybody trying anything out of the ordinary during the COVID-19 self-quarantine?

I'm not. Just the usual stuff.

Some are in the make do phase having to reach deep into their stocks. This is true of big eaters like families with younger kids and small eaters but low income like homeless, disabled and people with health issues per-ce.

Chatted with my daughter this evening who told me her, her husband and the three nippers were all having to make interesting meals out of yesterdays leftovers.

I still have a few tins to get through and plenty of flour and oats to make bread from.

As a kid I remember the shortages from coal strikes and oil shortages.

We would huddle in one room and smell then eat home made soda bread.

It was a lovely together time.

I have three pizzas in my freezer since I am in house detection. One is Montanara, then Formaggi and Salamino. This plus German beer makes detection bearable. But I still remember the Alte Rathaus beer in Hanover when visiting the Electronic Fair. Best beer I even drank.

Jack in the Box has the following: Golden Brown Potato Wedges. It doesn't get better than this according to Jack.
Well, unless you add melted cheddar cheese sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced bacon bits.
All this for 650 calories. And some places deliver now, what a pity, delivery is not available here yet.

Well I just finished changing the oil in the deep fryer so I'm going to have some fish cocktails, chips and a Marathon roll for dinner tonight. ;-)

Cheers.
