They're so cute. What do we call those - blonde raccoons? They are too dark to be blondes. Those raccoons appear to be pets, and clearly they are used to swimming in the pool, so they're cleaner than the average urban raccoon. Also, they are young and romping about in the day time, so their coats appear to be lighter in the sunlight than they might appear to be at night. Blond/cinnamon raccoons are much lighter. |

I am having someone draw a raccoon for us. If we like it, we can use it as a group logo sort of thing. I will create a personalized version for each member of Raccoon Lovers, if you like. Again, we have to see if we like it. Have I gone too far? ~Sue~ |

I am having someone draw a raccoon for us. If we like it, we Probably not, but we have already had this discussion on our team forum. You may have missed it. Look in the thread entitled Design a Team Battle Flag. It was my initial thought that team members would agree upon a team signature picture that could be customized for each team member, but then we realized that RACcoon Lovers personalities were as diverse as the personalities of actual raccoons. Some liked ferocious looking raccoons. Some liked cute raccoons. Some liked thoughtful raccoons. So instead we decided to use whatever picture each person liked, or no picture at all. I am probably the most conflicted of the lot as I have decided to use a ferocious raccoon signature during challenges like the WOW event that we just finished, and to use a more neutral appearing raccoon for all other times. The best thing about Team Raccoon Lovers is that there are really no rules or obligations. |

Racoons are very cute but in the wrong environment they are not. A dead raccoon was found on the beach in Falsterbo in Skåne, Sweden, last year and now experts warn that the species may have taken here from Denmark. Raccoons in Europe is originally from North America and is sometimes called jokingly "Nazi Teddy Bears". The name comes from the fact that it was the Nazi leader, Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring, who in 1934 made sure that two raccoons were released in the German forests to hunters to have something to chase. Today, several million raccoons are in Germany and it's a major problem. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/09/04/Sweden-says-open-season-on-raccoon-dogs/UPI-95421252091031/ |

I'm having a great time, I went to get My car smogged thinking I'd be only charged $38.00 like I was told over the phone, I was told I only had to show a photo ID, then at the shop I was told it would be almost $53.00 and that to get a discount I'd need a coupon that no longer exists and then it would be $48.00 instead and that this discount does not apply to those under 65, when I was told I only had to be 55 on the phone, needless to say I'm up against a time limit since the DMV wants their money by Sept 8th, one of My credit cards will need to be upped by another $39.00 to give Me enough money to smog check My car. I probably won't go back there to get the car smogged, but to 'Barstow Tire and Brake' instead, since they do charge $53.00 and they've never treated Me badly. And of course now I have to put another $10.00 into the tank to cover the trip to Barstow and back, but not today. sigh. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Vic, you can pay your DMV now, so you don't have a late charge. You just don't get your new sticker until that is done. So you can wait and get the smog check at the beginning of October. I was lucky and mine passed yesterday and for only $38. Make sure you take your renewal notice with you. I am required to do that here. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Are you sure Uli? I think I have to have a smog check first. I did take the form with Me. I do the dmv online. I put an extra $39.00 into one of My credit cards, so that I can cover My smog check, though when I'll have at least $53 there I don't know. Yes Vic, I didn't know that either until I looked it up yesterday. I needed to know what to do in two years, because she barely squeeked by on NO at idle. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/smog Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Ok, the DMV is done, now I just have to wait for the DMV incomplete letter to arrive, after I've gotten the credit card balance where I want it at, I can go and get the smog check when the card is ready. Thanks for the info Uli. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
