Big Sleep - classic Humphrey Bogart movie. I love the witty repartee between him and Lauren Bacall. Good classic movies like this are timeless.

Just finished watching... 'Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In'
Sock it to me!

On Decades TV (a Digital sub channel on many CBS stations across the USA)
Find out where to watch in your area

From IMDB:
Storyline

This show popularized a rapid style of vignette comedy show where comedy sketches, punch-lines and gags are edited together in a rapid and almost random format. Regular trademark elements included the joke wall, the dancing women painted with one-liners and the fickle finger of fate award. This series would inspire such shows as Monty Python's Flying Circus and Sesame Street.

Now how do ya say this.................
'The Edith and Archie' moment where.............well. ya know./

I just realized once again how difficult it my be for those of us getting older.....................
Uhh, .........to greet each other........like day to day kinda meeting each other kinda thingys.
Ya know, like that kiss before ya had a breath mint. And you understand she hadn't had one either?

And then ya look at your sig other and realize that neither of you needs one?

If I may be delicate here...........just to let you know, that if it helps....................

Lori and I don't do that. That thingy.........
Have not for maybe the last thirty years or so of our loving relationship.
Our friction point is my drinking, not whether of not we had connubial bliss in the last century or so...........
Just sayin.///////////////////not that we couldn't.

I guess I just wanted to point out to others that it is OK if you.....we...............loving couples...........
Find it as satisfying to just hold each other and look each other in the eyes and..........
Know that this is what life is about.
Eye to eye, and soul to soul. That is what life is about.

As I draw nearer to MY end point, I shall do so knowing that I have shared my soul with a lady finer than gold itself, and have done for her whatever I could to make her life easier and more loved.
Ya know, like the day I fixed her stove when she was more worried that it could not be, and I took the day off of work and had it fixed for when she got home from work. Something that to most would not speak of love. But it is what I do.

And the look in her eyes that day when she got home from work and realized that I had done so was worth more than any kiss in any book.
She is my lady. I take care of her to the best of my ability.

So, when she wants me to come over and help her after a hard day's work to drape plastic over a kitty house at twelve below zero in the middle of a snowstorm? No problem, hon.............I shall be there. I shall fire up old Toothless and drive the twenty miles.
Because I love you. Not because I want, or need, or have to.
But, because I love Lori.

I do hope that explains to some other, any other, loving couple, that it is OK not to 'do it'/
There are more meaningful things in life than sex. It is not required to have and to hold another.
And, back to where I started from, that is why the episode of All In The Family here Hit so close to home.
The kids do not have a clue//.
Eternal love and devotion.............till death do us part does not quite cover it.
We never made that pledge before God in a church. But, I believe we have the heart and soul of it quite covered.
And only death shall part either of us from the other.
THAT is what love is, my friends./

The last couple minutes of that episode really show how much Archie loved Edith. Thanks for posting it, Mark, and Merry Christmas to you and Lori.

Simply watch.

You will understand why later.
And even if you do not, you shall be enriched a bit by the experience.

The single most significant cinematic moment in my life was the closing moments in the Twilght movies.
I though the tribute to every single actor who played a part in the series was so significant and profound.
As Lori and I had watched every second of that series, when the end came, we both wept.
And we stayed and watched every credit roll, and remembered most of them by name.
It was quite a powerful experience.
Some of them were not even alive anymore.
I was instantly in love with Stewart that moment I saw her, and Lori forgave me for that long ago, because she was as well/.
Well, that's as the story goes.
Kristen gets my love, and Lori shares it./
And Lori loves the death out of the series.
Stewart wins an Emmy and my heart.
Not everybody thinks she is a great actor.
But she puts it where it needs to be.
Damned right she does.
I f you do not agree, feel welcome to say so.
She has paid her dues.

Some, I know, say Stew is trailer trash and just got lucky./
Not my opinion of her.
I shall always love the Twilight series of movies.
Especially [url]

Not a bad bargain.........two gurls to share one love.
I can deal with that, and she can as well.
I got enough to go around.
Sorry if that sounds grandiose, but it is true.

And the grand thing is....................
I got to share these moments with one that I love.

If you are a romantic..................and I know many of you are, or you would not be reading here.
Bella and Richard is one of the best love stories ever told. Nothing taken back, no string unpulled.
It was a straight out, no punches pulled, love me till we die story.
I happen to be in the midst of such a love story myself. And not sure how it is gonna end.
I have paid a heavy price to get to where I am in this world.
And dues are coming due.
Life ain't gonna come easy for the next few years.
Things are gonna have to be paid for.
Life is gonna need some attending to.
Cats need to be watered and fed.
Excuse me for putting so quaintly, but there just ain't no freakin' free lunch around here no more./
Life is done putting up with idiots and fools.
And every single one of you is trying to draw me into a fight./
But I ain't givin in, kiddies.
You are not suckering me in this time.
Not today
I do so love Bella.

I have lived for a thousand years.
I shall be here for a thousand more.
You all need to rely on my experience and love.
Without it, you are lost.
I am the one who can save you.
The single point of light, you can count upon.

And I have Bella by my side at all times.
She and I have weathered many a storm.
And many more will pass before we are gone, whenever that may come to pass.
You may not understand or accept what I am telling you here today,
But, let twenty more years pass.
Then, it may start to sink in that my words were true.
IF these forums even still exist at that time.

And if I do.

Yah never know.
Here today, gone manyonna.
YIddish for mayonaise, I guess.

White Rabbit Project is a Netflix series starring Grant Imahara, Tory Belleci and Kari Byron, the build team from MythBusters, that was released on December 9, 2016. According to the official synopsis, the team will investigate topics such as "jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists, and crazy World War II weapons", which they will explore through experiments, builds, and tests.
