Star Trek, The Next Generation, a season two episode. I never warmed up to the doctor who replaced Wesley Crusher's mom.

No one did!! That's why she went away.

I Love Lucy.

I never get tired of that show, and even after all these years I still haven't seen every episode.

Watched a couple episodes of Second Chance after finding it by accident
on Hulu. It's interesting, but not good enough to watch more.

Dear Sir, I will not make a snarky reply to your
post as I know that it was done in jest. I will not
speak for any of the other people here who may perchance
have taken any offence. I will defend you right up to

Call me a pedant, but you are a long way off:
Venus day = 116d 18h 0m
Venus year = 225 days

That is one Venus year is 1.9271 Venus days.

To be fair one Day on Venus does = 243 days here on Earth, though, that exceeds the year on Venus of 224.7-225.0 days, as you said.

http://starryskies.com/solar_system/venus/a_day_and_a_year_on_venus.htm

Venus rotates on its axis the opposite direction of the Earth. This means that on Venus, the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east! And it is a very long day, equal to 243 Earth days!

Stranger still is the fact that a day on Venus is longer than a year! It's orbital period around the Sun is only 225 days. According to the Venusian calendar, WW II ended only 56 days ago!

http://www.universetoday.com/47898/length-of-day-on-venus/
The length of day on Venus is 243 Earth days.

Read that again, it’s not a year, but the length of a single day. In fact, a year on Venus is only 224.7 days, so a day on Venus is longer than its year. And things get even stranger. Venus rotates backwards. All of the planets in the Solar System rotate counter-clockwise when you look at them from above. But Venus turns clockwise.

Of course it’s impossible to stand on the surface of Venus and survive. And even if you could, you wouldn’t be able to see the Sun through the dense clouds. But if you could stand on Venus and see the Sun, you’d see the Sun rise in the West, pass through the sky for 116.75 days and then set in the East. That’s the opposite of what we see here on Earth.

Sorry for my blunt statement.
But it so happens that the Swedish female curling team are almost as good as the Canadian team is.

Agreed, there are some great curlers of
both sexes coming out of your country.

An interview with the Canadian Prime minister of Canada
from the Center for American Progress. The audience acts
like he is from Mars....

edit:
I also looks like the Lady interviewer has fallen in love with him...

Got out of the house tonight to escape reality a little bit.

Watched 'Bridge of Spies' with Tom Hanks.
Very excellent movie.
It starts out in 1957, the year I was born.
Although not intended as a documentary as such, it is based on true events that happened when I was too young to comprehend them.
I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Kitty approved.
