BTW - Even 'The Donald' is far, far, far, far better, than Obama. Remember you said that Clyde so no whining if he wins and you have egg on your face when you relise he's a Hitler
Clyde from what they are reporting it wont matter if you lot don't approve of the agreement as the other 5 nations will drop all the sanctions anyway so Obama is cought between a rock and a hard place . Better to be able to watch them than to keep things the way it is. If you guys try to cause trouble then you may just find Putin giving them the ICBM's not that they need ICBM's to hit Israel |

Past history is no guarantee of future performance. So good past performance is not indicative of future good performance, but rotten past performance seems to be the norm at predicting future rotten performance. sigh |

I have sworn off the politics boards for very good reasons pertaining to my unique public persona. (That will do, we all know what I am talking about.) So here goes: Thank You America for Donald Trump! |

Dull... +10 It should also be noted that after the accident on board the Forrestal McCain was eligible to go home and not return to combat. It was his choice to join a squadron on board the Oriskany and return to combat. After being shot down he suffered several broken bones and landed in a lake in downtown Hanoi making avoiding capture impossible. After discovering who he was the North Vietnamese government offered to release him but he refused release unless all US prisoners were released too. That also makes him a hero in my book. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

You are hilarious. One group has been working for several decades and has succeeded at putting us on the edge of financial disaster. This group thinks it's ok to borrow as much as they want under the idea that just *saying* "full faith and credit" is just as good as a secured debt while knowing full well they are going to reach in and take some of that money, pay off their minions, and then will the rest to their grandchildren and then not pay it back because they know by the time enough people figure it out, they will be long gone and there will be no way to hold them accountable for lying, cheating and stealing. And let me tell you why it is hilarious. It is hilarious because you think Donald Trump, the man who has gone bankrupt 4 times but is still worth 7-10 billion dollars has ever put any of his own cash in any of his businesses for the past 20 years. He did it once, and that nearly bankrupted him personally and since then he has had the common sense to know he absolutely sucks at business, so anything he does, he does with other peoples money. Then he goes bust, the people he borrowed money from have to buy him out of his failed business and he earns boatloads of cash. Donald Trump is your exact definition of a first group type. Donald Trump is strong in the polls right now because he's saying the things many of us have been saying for years. He's strong in the polls right now because more people believe he means what he says. He's strong in the polls right now because he's a successful business man and what he's done in the past gives him a lot of credibility. And most important, he's not beholden to any modern day "robber barons". My only concern is that he's flaring up early and he may not be able to keep this up for another 15 months. Hes strong in the polls because he says the right things that everyone thinks? So Americans generally think that Mexicans are thieves and rapists. Well good to know that Americans today are still racist as hell. And well, like I said, hes not successful at business, hes successful at getting people to give him money. Not the same thing. If you want to bankrupt America, vote for Trump, because he has proven he is good at that. I suppose its technically true he is not beholden to any robber barons but that would be because he is one himself. Dr. Ben Carson? Pediatric brain surgeon. Believes in a higher authority. Level headed. He may not be as flamboyant, egotistical or as rebellious as the current african-american in the white house, but I believe he could fix a lot of things wrong in the U.S. right now. Ya, I'd vote for Dr. Ben Carson. And why? What makes you think a brain surgeon is capable of being a president of the United States and Commander in Chief of the strongest conventional military on the planet? How do those two skills overlap? What does this guy know about balancing budgets? About forging majorities for his plans in Congress? About defense policy? Education policy? International politics? |

The only qualifications required to become the POTUS is to be 35 and a citizen, but that doesn't matter anymore because we no longer pay attention to the U.S. Constitution. And the current POTUS doesn't even meet that requirement unless you believe a forged birth certificate out of the state of Hawaii which is an ardent supporter (and the most communist state in the union) of the current POTUS. Guy, I didn't know you were a foaming McCarthyist birther. Wouldn't you be happier posting on stormfront? |

Good Rant Brutus. And there lay the mighty Caesar--mortally wounded and he say "Et tu brute ?" and Brutus he rolls his eyes and he say "No man I aint et nothing" Actually, educated Romans spoke Greek; not Latin. |

Then, if you try to do something that will actually fix a problem, you quickly learn one group or another screams and your donors threaten to quit giving you re-election money. Keep the status quo and you get to keep your job. Well thats democracy for you. If you want politicians that drive their 'solutions' through without regard for what everyone else wants you should go live in some authoritarian state. Russia perhaps? If Dr. Ben Carson can figure out how to separate conjoined twins (at the top of the head) with his team, he can figure out anything happening from the viewpoint of the POTUS--and I believe he would do a better job at it because he has proven he has the capacity to use reason, logic and common sense. And he'll be able to do things for different reasons, better reasons, moral reason, and higher reasons. Which is exactly why is unsuited for politics. Neuro surgery is extremely difficult and certainly demands a very skilled person to do, but its simple in the sense that there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. If you do it right, the patient lives and is hopefully cured, if you do it wrong the patient may end up with brain damage and possibly dies. Politics? There is no easy right and wrong, there are options and almost all of those options are firmly grey. They have positive sides and negative sides. And its nearly impossible to accurately predict how those positive and negative sides evolve over time. What could look like a good idea at the moment you implement it may turn out to have very negative side effects over time. And like I said, even if you have some option that you want to implement, you can't just do it. You live in a democracy and that means you need people to support you or else your idea, no matter how great it might be, won't pass through congress. And do you think those people in congress just want to give you their support? Of course not, they are elected officials, they made their own promises to their own voter base so that means they all want something from you. Which means, whether you like it or not, you will have to compromise, set up deals, trade favors, etc. |
