Wooer is a type of speaker.
So is a tweeter. Boy has the definition of tweeter changed.

Are yiddish words allows:

In the opening credits of Laverne & Shirley, Laverne and Shirley recite a Yiddish-American hopscotch chant: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated."

Both carry annoying shrill high pitch tones.

First off the common language of the forum is English - not that that detract from other languages being used here and there.

I think the concept is the same regardless of language.

For me the term or word from a different language must be in common usage within the English spoken community at large.

So "Schmuck" (Yiddish: 'Stupid Person'... ) may be OK but "Shadi-Shudi" (Urdu: 'Married') may not be due to their usage within English spoken communities.

Of course older generations may remember Laverne & Shirley more but for the community as a whole any linguistic heritage is of less impact these days.

I guess the best test is to ask if a majority of others will understand.

(Just some thoughts. What do others think?)

In case of doubt the OED is the guide I use.

"Shadi-Shudi" does not appear, so is not allowed, but "Schmuck" does appear, so is allowed.

The message is: Use non-English words with great care, but only after checking they appear in the OED.

Here's the search term I used for shadi- shudi
shadi-shudi oed definition

I used a German word.
Hasenpfeffer is a traditional German stew made from marinated rabbit or hare, cut into stewing-meat sized pieces and braised with onions and a marinade made from wine and vinegar.

I used to watch those two roommates.
I liked the Sweat Hogs with their teacher Mr. Cotter better.

Lyrics to Laverne and Shirley Opening Theme:

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated
We're gonna do it!

Give us any chance - we'll take it
Read us any rule - we'll break it
We're gonna make our dreams come true...
Doin' it our way

Nothin's gonna turn us back now
Straight ahead and on the track now
We're gonna make our dreams come true...
Doin' it our way

There is nothing we won't try

Never heard the word impossible
This time there's no stopping us
We're gonna do it

On your mark, get set and go now
Got a dream and we just know now
We're gonna make our dream come true
And we'll do it our way - yes our way
Make all our dreams come true
And do it our way - yes our way
Make all our dreams come true
For me and you!

Yet again.
A reminder not to join two words either by running the together or by adding a hyphen when they aren't used.

Instead post one of the two words, either one, and watch where the games goes - sometimes by posting just one of them you really can make others think hard about your link.

Just in case, a water closet (or w/c on building plans) is just another name for a toilet.

Cheers.

Just a reminder - a word (the collection of letters) can have many definitions. It is up to the others to guess which of the definitions you were intending, not you to guide them to any particular one.
