Drinks are on Chris & David

40% Chris, 60% David

Wrong in the first place and wrong again.

However, since I was not entirely without error, I'll pitch in the first 500 yen.

Now boys please relax.

In school Oxford english was the standard and it did not help me one Iota, when I met my first American friend. Talk about confusion.

This is the Cafe afterall, and Babel is ok.

As long as you understand the meaning of your fellow posters, please stuff the corrections.

Ok, my rant is over. Mike just put everything on my tab.

If you want to continue the discussion, please put your boots/wellies on and head over to Politics.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

Good Morning Mike, Chris and AG (plus all lurking in the shadows), I'll just serve myself a mug that wonderfully aromatic coffee and a muffin, then relax in that big leather chair in the corner.....

Hey, why is Zapped's chair empty - has anyone seen the little guy in the last couple of weeks - we will need him soon as there is a big sampling session coming up to select next year's ales, beers and largers....

(And after last year's performance I suspect we will walk away with the "most brews sampled" again, provided he is with us)

As far as I picked up through the posts. Zapped had a tiff with another person. Not to be named by me. But later he posted a picture that said "Goodbye". He still crunches.

That's a damn shame.....he is one of the more enjoyable posters. However I can understand having a 'tiff' with some of the micro-intelligences that lurk in the political threads. I personally have put several on 'ignore'.

The same thing happened last summer. It was why I started the Missing Persons thread. He came back.

I noticed last week that the name on his account and his "put it here" thread had been changed, then yesterday it was back to "Zapped Sparky". Hoping that is a sign that he is almost recovered from whatever, and will resurface soon.

Yes, but avoid that chair over there - it's Zapped's, and if you sit in it you may end up being pursued by a fishy aroma, and every cat in the neighbourhood ....

I was just editing my previous post. Now you're in the corner - you might not have seen it :)

I'll just stand in the corner.

Well, if that's what you want.....

There are plenty of seats that don't have names on them. I prefer the big wing-back chairs in the back room by Callaghan's Fireplace, but none are reserved exclusively for me.

Relax and be welcome, Russell.

And a fully-stocked kitchen, and an even-more fully-stocked bar.
