An execution that enhances the image of President Vladimir Putin's reign of terror. Thats how the Swedish Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström describe the murder of the Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov. |

Live coverage from today's funeral march in memory of the murdered Putin critic Boris Nemtsov. http://www.dn.se/nyheter/varlden/tiotusentals-redo-marschera-till-nemtsovs-minne/ "Boris, you were always my president," reads a handwritten note among the flowers. An elderly man walks past, makes sign of the cross, saying with a loud voice: "Protect me god against the bandits in the Kremlin! " "It was a political murder. He was killed because of their opinions", says Tatiana Vinogradova who have come here from St. Petersburg. "I think maybe not that Putin and the Kremlin ordered the murder, but they have created such an atmosphere of hate that everything is possible today" Sunday's planned protest against Putin and warfare in Ukraine - where Nemtsov was one of Poster names - has suddenly been canceled. Instead, the authorities have given permission for a mourning manifestation of at most 50 000 participants. It would be surprising if the murder of Boris Nemtsov ever gets cleared up. Not a single one of the many political assassinations that have been performed since Putin became president have found those responsible. A Russian TV channel TVC has published a video from a surveillance camera that is said to show the murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov. There appears to be a lone assassin catches up Nemtsov on Moskvoretsky bridge and then jump into a car that stopped. http://www.dn.se/nyheter/varlden/video-sags-visa-mordet-pa-nemtsov/ |

Russians put this picture on the Nemtsov flowers to honor Boris. The Russian regime prepares its police and army forces for the Nemtsov funeral march. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcdZuarnrmo Wearing blue and yellow is a death sentence in Putin's Russia. Terrible graphic scenes from Moscow. Dissenting voices do not survive in Russia. 315 journalists were killed in Russia since 1993. http://www.journalists-in-russia.org/ Amnesty International about Boris Nemtsov. http://www.amnestyusa.org/news/news-item/russia-murder-of-boris-nemtsov-must-be-meaningfully-investigated |

I would also agree that neither Putin nor the Kremlin would have directly ordered this assassination. Even they aren't that stupid. RUSSIA CANNOT BE TRUSTED I disagree with part of your post, I believe the 'hit' was DIRECTLY ordered by Putin. This is the start of Stalinesk purges. Putin feels he has no opposition to his aggression internationally so the time has come for him to consolidate his power internally by 'removing' his detractors. Putin is a megalomaniac who's delusions of a new Imperial Russia are fed daily by his sycophants and lack of response by the world. He will not stop until removed by force as happened to the last Czar. His intention is as has been stated repeatedly in this thread, to annex Ukraine followed by the Baltic states. Your statement of "RUSSIA CANNOT BE TRUSTED" is absolutely true, but the BIG question is Who will stop Putin? Not a feckless US President who hides under the bed at the mention of Putin's name. Not an EU that is scared to death of having the gas shut off. Not a UN Security Council that is the lapdog of China and Russia. Ukraine is gone, the Baltics are as good as gone, and the European countries should be brushing up on their Russian....... "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Ukraine is gone, the Baltics are as good as gone, and the European countries should be brushing up on their Russian....... Have I missed something? I have already started learning Russian. Soon I can read the Chyrillic alphabet:) Most people from the Baltic states know Russian. They was forced to learn it as a first language until 1991. All education was in Russian. |

Russia is not a breakdown of a democracy. It is a successful authoritative system. It is clear that during his time in power, Putin has consolidated its power, silenced the opposition and made himself and his friends unimaginably rich ever since he became deputy mayor of St. Petersburg in the early 90s. Please see this documentary "Putin's Way" from PBS made last month if you have the time. 54 minutes. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/putins-way/ $871 median wealth for the avarage Russia. $1000 median wealth in India. Meaning that the average Russian is poorer then the average Indien. 110 russians owns 35% of the wealth of Russia. Never trust a man who plays with rats as a child for pleasure. |

Nearest CCTV camera that would have caught Nemtsov's murder was "under repair," and the other more distant one had view blocked by a snow plow. Hmm. Some more surveilled places than the area around the Kremlin does not exist in Russia - if not the world. Here are the police never far away, and video cameras are everywhere on the walls around the center of power. |

Maybe I should write a bestseller. Too late. The Norwegian TV channel NRK will show the the new political thriller "Occupied" dealing with the Russian occupation of Norway. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2014/apr/04/jo-nesbo-interview-scandinavia-take-things-for-granted-norway |

Key witness to the murder of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov have had to leave Russia and has gone to the Ukrainian capital Kiev. It stated Ukraine's foreign ministry late Monday. The Ukrainian model Hanna Durytska, Nemtsovs girlfriend, was in place when the murder took place last Friday. She said earlier in the day that she has provided all the information she has to the investigators, but she nevertheless been prevented from leaving the country. Her mother Inna Durytska, who lives in Kiev, has said she fears that her daughter's de facto house arrest is a sign that the Russian authorities intend to use her as a pawn in the Russian-Ukrainian bargaining game. Speaker of the Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz and MEP Sandra Kalniete was not allowed in Russia to attend the funeral of Boris Nemtsov. "I took my diplomatic passport and waited for three hours" - reported Kalniete in his facebook. "In the end, I was told that I was denied entry into Russia for the defense or security of the state." "As part of the response taken by the Russian side in relation to a number of states, including Poland, which imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation, Bogdan Borusewicz is included in the list of persons who are denied entry to the territory of Russia", - told RIA Novosti press-secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation Poland Valery Perzhinskaya. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will not attend the funeral of the murdered politician Boris Nemtsov, according to RBC. |

"If success really is all in a name, then the new company Putin Consulting started by a relative of Vladimir Putin is surely destined for entrepreneurial greatness. Roman Putin, a first-cousin-once-removed of the Russian president, has launched a consulting firm which says it offers foreign investors not only a famous name but also the "strong relationships" that go with it", - The Guardian Today Microfinance organizations "People's treasury" and "Center for Microfinance" decided to combine assets. The board of directors which will include Roman Putin. In 2013, the vice-president of "Support of Russia" and the head of the group of companies "Microfinance Centre" Paul Segal was arrested on suspicion of fraud with the parent capital in the amount of 10.5 billion rubles, 168 million USD. https://translate.google.se/translate?hl=sv&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Ftop.rbc.ru%2Ffinances%2F03%2F03%2F2015%2F54f5159a9a794749b14a3790 |

janneseti... +1 The question remains WHO will stop Putin? He's gonna show the world what Stalin was all about. Like that person at a group dinner who says "don't order for me" then treats all the other plates as a smorgasbord. "I'll have a little Crimea, and a little slice of Estonia, maybe with a little Balkan sauce on the side". Gobble, Gobble, the hungry Bear is on the prowl and the big policeman is hiding under the bed afraid he'll lose his lunch money again. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

janneseti... It's springtime and bears are hungry:) Another question remains. How to stop Putin? Makes me scary... Not even in the Cold War this agression from Russia happened. About smörgåsbord. Putin had to sit alone and eat at the G20 summit in Brisbane:) |

RWE, Mikhail Fridman Group Close $5.7 billion Oil-and-Gas Deal http://www.4-traders.com/RWE-AG-436529/news/RWE-Mikhail-Fridman-Group-Close-57-billion-Oil-and-Gas-Deal-2nd-update-19959878/ Looks like more than the "Old Soviet Borders" are on the mind of the Bear's "Special Little Friends". North Sea oil controlled by Russian Oligarchs? WAY TO GO GERMANY! Sell them your assets then cry when they double your gas and oil prices. "God helps those who help themselves". And Vlad and the boys are gonna 'help themselves' to Europe. Rubles for Everyone! "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

RWE, Mikhail Fridman Group Close $5.7 billion Oil-and-Gas Deal Nice timing. More on that story. In March 2015, Letter One, owned by Fridman, acquired German oil company RWE Dea for over £5 billion. RWE Dea owned 12 active oil and gas fields in the North Sea and fields elsewhere. The deal had been opposed by the British government who feared it could contravene sanctions against the Russian government over the dispute in Ukraine. A new company is to be formed to runs the fields which is to be headed by former British Petroleum head Lord Browne.[15] The UK assets of the new entity will be supervised by a Dutch Stichting (foundation), a special purpose limited liability entity established specially for that purpose.[16] http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/b66feb28-c015-11e4-a71e-00144feab7de.html#axzz3TP4CH1AI Arild Moe, senior researcher at the Fritjof Nansen Institute, said Fridman is also involved in the license on the Alta prospect in the Barents Sea, where Lundin Petroleum of Sweden recently made a major oil and gas discovery. Arild Moe:) Thats very naive thinking. http://www.newsinenglish.no/2014/10/23/russian-billionaire-gains-offshore-foothold/ btw Mikhail Fridman is born in Ukraine. |

Putin is attempting to RETURN to the 'Old Soviet' borders. And possibly the 'Buffer States'. I wonder if Finland will become a Buffer State? Silly me. Finland was once part of the Russian Empire in the 19th centuary. Russia wants historical justice. Finland has only been a state for the last 100 years. Rest of the time it was part of the Swedish "Empire" from 1249 to 1809. Latest Russian propaganda:) https://twitter.com/_jamesabraham/status/572744095187267584/photo/1 |

Russian media at its best. On February 28, 2015, Russian and Ukrainian mass media reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Russia, John Tefft, had laid flowers at the murder scene of Boris Nemtsov that were tied with a blue and yellow ribbon. Tefft served as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (2009-2013). He also served as Ambassador to Georgia (2005-2009), and to Lithuania (2000-2003). http://www.stopfake.org/en/fake-u-s-ambassador-to-russia-lays-flowers-with-blue-and-yellow-ribbons-at-the-scene-of-nemtsov-murder/ And whats wrong with blue and yellow ribbons. We have many here:) |
