What to do, if SETIspirit doesn't update the credits history anymore for projects, which are not calculated on the SETIspirit computer

Preamble: The credits history function automatically saves the daily credits received as well as the total credits for all projects attached to all of your boinc computers. This function is completely independent from external statistics such as BOINCstats or Free-DC, as the SETIspirit credits history evaluates the replies of the project servers. This independence makes the credit history function very reliable. The credits can be displayed for each project in day-, month- or year statistics. Daily at 23:40h SETIspirit automatically updates all projects and at 00:00h the current credits are saved. The credits history function can be accessed via the 'boinc stats' command button menu.

This issue can be caused by an outdated scheduler URL, which is not updated by the boinc client because the project isn't running on the SETIspirit host. You can fix this easyly by reseting and updating this project with the boinc manager, which will automatically update the scheduler URL.

SETIspirit hangs, if the "free-dc program stats" or "free-dc signature graphic" is used and the "stats.free-dc.org" host is OFFLINE

If possible, just close the "free-dc program stats" and "free-dc signature graphic" window in SETIspirit (if opened). If you can't do this, terminate SETIspirit using the task manager. Also set these options in the [Layout] section of the SETIspirit.ini file:

[Layout]
frmAllProjectStats=0
frmFreeDCProgramStats=0

which prevents to open the "free-dc program stats" and "free-dc signature graphic" window at SETIspirit startup. These layout options also prevents to open the windows, if you restore the SETIspirit window layout.

The next SETIspirit release will fix this issue.

Not currently, but this feature I have been in my head for a long time. I hope to integrate this feature into one of the next versions.

Good news, hopefully soon :-). With the Green Bank telescope on line it is great to see areas of the sky outside the Arecibo coverage area in SETI@home.

SETIspirit News Update

The next SETIspirit release will provide full support for AstroPulse Workunits for the first time. I'm able to confirm this new feature as it is completely integrated and working well in the current beta release. I like to integrate some more new features, so it will take some additional time before SETIspirt v5.0.0 will be published as new major release.

Great news, an early Xmas present.

Something for the next release maybe. Could SETIspirit also plot the position of POGS work units? Looking at the POGS website there is a plugin for some desktop astronomy package so I guess there is an API that could be used.

I haven't even looked at SETIspirt for years since it was such a CPU hog. Is that still the case, or has that been improved?

just a short update: the next SETIspirit version is currently in development. As today's PC hardware becomes more powerful, the new development target is to support up to 30 active boinc tasks for all SETIspirit features (which has been partially implemented so far).
