With that little face, and the publicity, I think a forever home is just around the corner.

Kitty is going into failure mode........
My dear feline companion Tigger II is going the route.
I have seen it before.
She spends far too much time at the water bowl and into the litter boxen.

Kidney failure I have dealt with before. She is still perky and loving as ever, but I see the writing on the wall. Her namesake left me at only 5-1/2 years of age due to CRF. I fought with her for 9 months with daily subq fluid therapy. It was hard, but not without rewards.

At least my Tigger II has been with me for almost 14 years.
All 3 littermate sisters. Hard times are a coming.

Meow.

I send you my most genuine kindest thoughts Mark.

I know you do, and it is most appreciated.
This is not going to happen today or tomorrow.
I suppose that I should just accept it as old kitty age finally setting in.
I do not wish to accept it.
But, my kitties are all 13 going on 14. And I should not expect they should all do as Squirrel did and make it to 18+....just ain't gonna happen.

Tigger II could hang on for years...it just depends on the rate of progression.
Cats are the most resilient animals on the planet. They hang on until all else is lost. Tigger II shall do so as well.

That is what cats do.

What I have are 3 of the most genuinely affectionate animals on this earth.
Tigger II literally comes and makes eyes at me at night when I come home from work and sit here at the computer sorting the day's events.
She sits there and stares at me, beckoning me to come to bed with her and pet her upon my chest. Which she always does.
You suppose cats cannot talk? Oh wow...they do.
Bandit is the vocal one...........she will meow and meow from dusk till dawn.
And has the eyes to back it up.

And I realize that I am not the first person in the world to recognize this fact.
Cats were revered long before I came upon the scene.

I was, however, one of the first, if not the first person to acknowledge them here on Seti. Now, cat avatars abound.
Cats are cool, man. Cats are just cool, and warm and fuzzy at the same time, a true enigma.

I have a dream...that all cats shall be created equally by their master...................
Oh, crap. I forgot that cats have no master. LOL.

Anyway...here is a virtual cornucopia of cat quotes.
I go there often for inspiration.

What is hard is to select even one to single out, as they are most all memorable.

Oh, maybe this one...

Hopefully Missan breaks Her own record.

So far Creampuff holds the record at 38 years and 3 days... What a name...

Four-Wheel Buggy Give Special-Needs Kitten Second Chance at Life

A kitten born with a condition that makes it impossible to walk is learning how to get around despite her limitations thanks to a specially designed buggy.

“Tumbelina” suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia, according to Valley Cats Inc. in Woodland Hills.

She has the will to move, but not the ability, according to rescuers who compare her to Stephen Hawking; a brilliant mind trapped in a body that can’t keep up.

The rescue organization stepped in to save Tumbelina who was at risk of being euthanized because of her special needs, according to a post on YouTube.

The four-wheel buggy provided by the rescue will allow Tumbelina to propel herself forward without the help and support of her caregivers, according to the post.

The next step for Tumbelina is to find a forever home.

To learn more about Tumbelina and her adoption process, visit Valley Cats Inc.

CATastrophes YouTube Channel

The CATastrophes Web Series is a hilarious, cat-centric weekly comedy show featuring cat tips, recreations of viewer-submitted cat stories and scripted content of cats appearing in unexpected situations!

Each episode, in addition to making people laugh, brings attention to a topic in animal welfare and spotlights a rescue that's saving lives. In fact, many of the cat actors and extras are available for adoption from local Chicago rescues!

Well Tinkerbell is not a happy camper. Tessie is taking, a wait and see approch.

Back story. I gave a forever home to a set of siblings. Cookie (female and neutered) and Midnight (male to be fixed on Thorsday).

Tessie was not happy, when they tried to deny her access into HER HOME.

Tinkerbell put them on notice via a Catifit, don't mess with me. Her favorite hidding spot is under an Armour, which the new pups ingore.

Yes I will post pics. Maybe next Sunday, if Midnight is up to it.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

Big affectionate pat for Midnight for his op tomorrow, Uli :)

Yes... takes time for new furries to find their feet when other furry feet are already well-ensconced.

Have had my sister's cat Bagheera since late Sunday night :) (he was dropped off by one of my sister's friends). He's never lived in a house with stairs before and I've realised too that he's never seen spaces above cupboards before. Have sorted things so that he can get up and down on the couch etc (although he only uses the aids for "up" at the moment - preferring to let gravity to take the strain going down) but he's still got some trust issues with my cats. They seem quite baffled by it and just want to make friends (although Diego has taken exception to being hissed at. Looks like he's plotting something :/ ) but Bagheera is not ready to, and is making repeated (failed) efforts to reach high spaces :( One attempt put him in my bin, which didn't help him with any dignity issues he may have, poor love :)

Given that he is still periodically very wonky on his back legs... I'm going to have to block up/fill all the high spaces that are tempting him. Just trying to work out what with now... :)

Once he's settled - I'll hopefully get a picture to post up! :)

Saw this in my strange news items of the day...
A Kickstarter Campaign to Build Austin (Texas) a Blue Cat Cafe with rescued & adoptable cats!
If you are unaware of a cat cafe, we are glad to explain. In the last decade the concept of a cat cafe has grown. The first in Taiwan spread to Japan, and then onto Europe, and now the U.S.

A typical cat cafe is a place where one can go, and be surrounded by several, if not dozens of cats. Cats can be permanent fixtures of the surrounding, or can be adoptable.

The first cat cafe in the US, Cat Town, made great strides in not only opening the law to eat & prepare food in the presence of cats, but also in choosing to partner with their city rescue organizations to adopt them out. We think this is the best solution, too, as their really is a need.

Maybe us Setizens should start one.

Tessie is getting used to the Pups. Tinkerbell is still saying NO. As she is four years old, they only ten month, I may to live with a lot of hissing and hidding.
