My family, mostly.

Despite my last name, I am NOT related to 99.9999+% of the Walkers in Canada. Great Grandpa came from the UK in 1902, and had one son (Grandpa Clifford). Clifford had two sons, those two sons have 6 surviving children in Canada, including two males. So, its me and cousin Jim. The rest are, IMHO, Walker wannabes.

On my mother's side I am related to most of Saskatchewan, and large chunks of Manitoba and Alberta. But nobody remotely famous.

I guess I'm related to a lot of people, but my mother is the only relative I've been close to since my dad died in 1982. My grandparents weren't really in the picture much because they died either before I was born, or when I was younger. I'm an only chid, as is my mom, and while my dad had some siblings, I never met them. I'm unmarried, with no kids, too.

Through the Mormon Genealogical System, we have been officially identified as distant cousins to Celine Dion!

My claim to fame is one ancestor, who was the richest man in the Pfalz around 1790. Then my Grandfather, who was the youngest elected Mayor in the 30is in Germany.

Of course! He's a very distant (and absent) relative...

Think of it this way Chris, how many of your
relatives in the past were as well know in the
whole world as you are? I'd say that make you
very famous.

I come from a long line of peasants who eked out miserable existences trying to farm on rocky hills that support only weeds and goats. Eventually some of them got hungry enough to leave.

My family that I'm related to is a bit complicated, and at one point was literally on opposite sides in the US Civil War, one part are descendants of Huguenots, while the other side settled in Texas before Texas was even a Republic(they came from Kentucky with an Oxen pulled Conestoga Wagon, one female ancestor walked all the way to Texas I was told and are of English descent).

My youngest son just rang me to tell me they will be releasing Halo 1 to 4 for Xbox 1. Possibly in October. Can't wait.

Streeter Family Association

I am a direct descendant of Stephen and Ursula (Adams) Streeter of Goudherst, Kent, England, and Gloucester and Charlestown, Mass. Ursula is believe (pretty well established, I think) to be related to President John Adams.

My direct line is Stephen Stephen Samuel Stephen Stephen Asa Stephen Charles Henry Gilbert Paul David. It will end here, although Paul's brother Ronald has sons William and Joseph, and William has Liam, Esta, and Aaron (so far). Liam is only 5, so it's a bit early to say whether that line will go further.

From the 4th generation, going down a different branch, one of the 5th gen changed his spelling to Streator. One of his grandsons was Dr. Worthy Stearns Streator, for whom the city in north central Illinois is named (although it's not known if he ever went there). He was also involved in the campaign and administration of a US President in the 1880s (I forget which one).

My grandmother (from whom I think I get most of my physical characteristics) is from the Stauffer family, Pennsylvania Dutch.

My mother's side is Ukrainian and Polish immigrants from the late 1800s and early 1900s. My second cousin's oldest son is becoming quite the actor and may be famous in a few years.
