I bet though that their council tax will increase year on year to cover the wage increases and expense fiddling of those councillors! Slight correction here as I got it wrong :( Not used for wage increases but.... 25% of Council Tax used for pensions ....won't be long before it'll be 100%. |

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war Of the alleged statements, the only one i'd be concerned about is 'chillaxing', that is not a word! Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

I don't care if it's in the Dictionary, it's still not a word! Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

The word link and discussion of threads are over in the café. Leave them there. |

Quite right there mon, language needs to evolve but word games are more suited to the café don't you think? And to discuss one's opinions of individual words there is the word discussion thread :) |

Careless elitism Hmmn, seems the deputy PM has a memory problem, so suggest he visit the elitist's hospital in Paddington for a check-up. Student fee turnabout, avoiding his bar bills, playing tit-for-tat instead of working together with his co-partners in getting the country back on its feet. What a shining example for his party! |

Careless elitism Speaking on his weekly LBC radio phone-in he said that the danger of such a "deterministic" view of people based on their IQ was "complete anathema to everything I have stood for in politics". Now lets see, what has he stood for in Politics?

+1 What do any of them actually stand for? Do any of the parties stand behind their manifestos and act in accordance with them. Or do manifestos get side-stepped once a party forms a government and hence we get more off the cuff policies being implemented by them. Could spend a lifetime discussing these points. Sadly no Chris. The only legal option is to wait to the next election, 2 years away. The Mayor has to be tried, convicted, sentenced, and jailed before any other options come up. The police and Crown Attornies are moving VERY carefully on this one. Charge him today, knowing that in a few years he (or one of his cronies) could well be your boss? |

A perfect answer |

Big Boss? Don't you mean big muppet Another useless Del-boy promise "He believes the EU deal could be worth "tens of billions" of pounds a year - including £1.8bn for the UK alone." So where is the rest going to? Someone's back pocket within the EU? |

Big Boss? Don't you mean big muppet Lets face it Sirius, China's going to be the big world player in years to come possibly even usurp America. Best we make serious in-roads in to that country and make every effort to work with them rather than against them. Most intrigued by Labours response, "A race to the bottom". That party is really the pits now, as regards race to the bottom then they would know all about that. Taken the UK down there many a time in the past and clearly bitter that Cameron may be winning points in the economics domain. He who wins points here wins elections too....Labour are a very worried party indeed. As regards Cameron promoting the EU to within China I suspect is just a bit of Euro protocol. For he can't negotiate trade deals, for just the UK on it's own, where tariffs are concerned only the sproutsers can do that.
