Something very odd is happening when I visit this thread. I bounce
around a lot, and posts I see are from 2013. I'm posting this mostly
to see what happens.

Explanation is real easy as you travel through the moth holes.

Especially if those moths are from Hoth. ;)

That happens to me in threads that I haven't visited for a couple weeks. My best guess is that after a weekly database outage, for threads I have not visited since the last outage, the DB stops keeping track of the last post I read, so when I return, it starts me at post #1.

I already know what type of moth is around here, but tanks anyway, the area used to have Bats who'd fly around and eat the moths and other flying insects at dusk, quite a sight to see, but the Bats vanished around 2011.

At least I don't have any wool of course.

Yes I'm sure Chris.

Current humidity is 48% inside, sometimes I've seen 45% or so and the swamp cooler isn't working right now(the motor is dead), then the humidity would go up to at least 60% or more(when the motor is replaced with a new working motor).

There are other places around Me, the wood panels on the walls outside here have been screwed down, the walls have been fixed, there is no more entry in or out in this fixer outside of the two external doors(I still don't know if these moths can enter through a screened window or not).

The moths are only coming from another mobile home, an uninhabited one is nearby, the fact that I've been only getting about 1 a day or even none(down from 6 or 7 a day), says they are coming from another place or places, mine has no breeding population, in the last 6 months I've only seen 1 that was newly hatched, the others were larger, yes I've been keeping track, some days none will show up.

In the last few months I've caught a few in the front room or in a bathroom or two.

The park is slowly cleaning out any empty places and hopes to have a rating higher than 'F' I was told by the management.

Eventually after replacing 3 windows, I'll most likely see about getting estimates on the 2 bathrooms, the countertops are shot and the cabinets and flooring is not great, plus I need new toilets that are elongated and not round, one toilet I may need to back date to the original type.

That just happens with threads that aren't active for a while. Nothing to do with the outrages.

Last week, I bought a new bag of dry cat food. When I got home and opened it, it had moths in it. Then I looked and found that the "best by" date was December 2014. I closed it back up and put it outside until I had time to take it back to the store. Needless to say, I got a refund, not an exchange. Don't trust any dry food from there now.

I buy foil/plastic type resealable bags of dry cat food, means I'm limited to 3lb bags of Evolve dry cat food, but there isn't much I can do beyond what I'm doing now.

You're very lucky if you have to ask.

It's a stinkbug. I believe CK* ranted about them not too
many years ago. (Maybe last year.)

I have seen my cats sniff them and be disgusted, and you
know it takes a lot for a cat to be disgusted by a smell.

They come in many sizes and colors, by the way.

I finally had to bite the bullet and I bought 2 types of traps, one for flies and one for clothes/pantry moths, I charged it... One will go near Graces box, which I keep as clean as I can and I empty the bin regularly, yet I still get them sometimes. I've been told that both are endemic to the area now.

"In celebration of Save a Spider Day (March 12th), what we hope this
list says — what we hope this list proves — is that spiders aren’t
just something to be screamed at, or squished beneath boot heels,
but something to be respected, and even admired."

I found out if I open a window moths and flies can get in, I think, yet if I open a door to go outside, no bugs come in most of the time, though if there is a bigger fly near the front door, the fly might come in with Me if the cooler is venting on that side of the house.

Thank you Suzie, I didn't know about the fact about Daddy Long Legs.
I will eradicate Black Widows. Not sure what was going on this year, but I have not found one yet at home.
I did spot one at work, living next to a hot waterpipe. I let it be.

Now I've deployed 1 moth trap and yes 1 moth has so far been unlucky to have landed inside, it's a male moth(the trap is designed to attract male moths only), so any I kill will be females from now on, I placed the trap in the one spot where moths have to go past to get to the back of My mobile home, right above the clothes washer and dryer.

Another hopeful sign of impending spring was this pic I took yesterday also in my local park.

I haven't seen any moths here since the 10th, I have a trap above the clothes washer(using more than 2 is not advised, in My place 1 at a time is enough), I placed the trap earlier in the month, around the 5th, the trap gets the males, any that sometimes get past are only female and they're rare, compared to males that is, so far I've gotten 6 total for March, the trap is good for 12 weeks or until full, then throw it away and get another trap out, by then I'll buy another 6 traps.

It's been 19 days since I've seen anymore clothes moths, either the park has eradicated the varmints or something else has happened to them.. :)
