'Hey Mr. Tambourine man play a song for me...'
bah Now I have a song stuck.

It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Making love to his tonic and gin

He says, "Son can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet
And I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man's clothes"

Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright

Now you should have that stuck in your head.
Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.

Yep, 3000 feet high will require a different secret handshake than on sea level...But fellow participants recognize each other without it...Anyway, beer o'clock:))

Or an ear worm.

When it happens, as soon as I can, I play it on my real iPod or iTunes, and then play something else.

And yes, Simon, you did......

I don't mind one tune, it's
when there are two or three
tunes at the same time in there.

Actually a few of us were sitting back the other weekend thinking about how long I've been brewing for and I was shocked when it turned out to be over 24yrs now. :-o

I also like the part of the speech that the US Quarter Master (or whatever he is) gives the US sailors before shore leave here,"...and don't go getting into drinking contests with the locals, you'll lose".

Cheers.

Sadly I've seen far to many that do lose here, seeing as I spent 21yrs driving with Sydney Buses (waiting for the "On The Buses" jokes now) getting them back to their ships (otherwise the local police or MP's were/are dragging them back).

Cheers.

There are taxi services, and then there are "other" taxi services, its just that that some look to be a little bit harder on the body than others.

I'd suggest they stay away from the MP type taxis though from what I've seen. ;-)

Cheers.

That's why I stay home when I drink anything, MP's taxi's isn't a good choice way to go home. :))

See the aussies are at it again, Hydrating Beer: Researchers Create Brew That Rehydrates Drinkers By Adding Electrolytes.

This bit stood out:

However, don't expect the hydrating beer to contain the same amount of alcohol as your average brew. In order to achieve the feat, researchers also had to reduce the alcohol content.

Wait.. what?
Let me think about this for just a moment.. they are hydrating the beer..
the typical way a beer drinker would rehydrate would be to have a glass of water..
This beer has a lower alcohol content.. so basically they water down the beer..
oh and add electrolytes.. so they can call it science.

Sorry.. but I prefer my beer without Gatorade.

Sounds a lot like Lite Beer to me. If I were to mix beer with anything, it would be tomato juice or V8. But I gave that up when I turned 21.....
