Thank you for the win. The Last Person To Post Wins thread, general rules: 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. 6. Go to 1. Supplemental rules: A. Multiple posting (the same poster posting two or more posts in succession) is frowned upon, and no element of a multiple posting may trigger the winning event. Thus the first following nonmultiple post will win. B. However the winning event is defined, it should probably take less than 600 posts also less than two weeks to achieve. C. Posting of larger pics is discouraged (Modem users do still exist, and these threads can get quite long.) D. Don't post any clearly copyrighted pictures. E. The post rules listed to the left of your post box are all enforced. I have picked a date and a time when the top post will win. I have written this information down and put it next to my computer. Please review the official rules posted above. Since I am Thread Mistress this round, and I happen to LOVE LANGUAGE, I would like to propose a non-binding game to any and all who wish to participate. I encourage you to say whatever you want to say in this thread, but encrypt it in such a way that it will not be immediately obvious to others. For example, instead of "I win!!!", why not say "I have overcome all adversity"? The more cryptic, the better... (See thread title) Your motto should be "make 'em look it up!!!" There will be two winners in this thread. Winner #1 will be the person who posts last when the winning date and time come about. Winner #2, and the recipient of a box of homemade cookies baked and shipped by yours truly, will be the person who types the post that makes Eric laugh the most. |

coprolites and rotating blades... Been fortunate never to have caused that to happen. Almost got caught in the backwash when a young non-qual rapidly depressurized a sanitary holding tank via the toilet ball valve rather than the filtered vent line..... congratulations Angela. What, make Eric laugh? Can't do that, he needs to take me seriously when I email! And besides I'm german. We have absolutely no humour at all. So, excuse me while I put on my 'very serious' face. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

I rose to Angela's challenge and deciphered the thread title. Worse than a cryptic crossword! Have some pity on the non-native speakers! Now, let me return to leading the crowd. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

Presenting some less-than-worthwhile words whilst pondering a pontification worthy of Eric's humerus. [The last word is spelled the way I intended.] David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |
