http://2001-2009.state.gov/p/sca/rls/rm/8784.htm The additional indictment against Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, being unsealed today, makes clear that Daniel Pearl was not the first American to fall victim to terror at the hands of Saeed. In October 1994, the indictment charges, Saeed met Bela J. Nuss, an American tourist, at a restaurant in New Delhi while scouting areas of the city known to be frequented by U.S. citizens and other Westerners. As in the case of Daniel Pearl, Saeed carefully selected Nuss, used lies to befriend him, and lured him to an isolated place where he was kidnapped at gunpoint. Also like the case of Daniel Pearl, Nuss was held in brutal isolation and photographed with a gun pointed at his head while Saeed and his co-conspirators communicated their demands to the media. Nah, you don't need a gun to behead somebody. |

http://www.israeltoday.co.il/NewsItem/tabid/178/nid/23572/Default.aspx Interesting. The only way I can see it applying to the US is if you also consider the US a war zone. Is the US a war zone? Reality Internet Personality |

Liberals liked the idea of armed cops in schools before? That article seems to be part of the narrative to label the media left wing, when clearly it is not. Reality Internet Personality |

From the National Review online http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/336338/columbine-had-armed-guard-daniel-foster# (associated with the magazine of William F. Buckley?) That’s right, but it isn’t like the deputy was sitting around eating doughnuts during the Columbine massacre. He traded fire (that is, he drew fire) with Harris for an extended period of time, during which Harris’s gun jammed. The deputy and the backup he immediately called for exchanged fire with the shooters a second time and helped begin the evacuation of students, all before the SWAT teams and the rest of the cavalry arrived, and before Harris and Klebold killed themselves in the library. Harris and Klebold had an assault plan — a sloppy plan, but a plan nonetheless. They had dozens of IEDs, some of which detonated, others of which did not. And there were two of them. In this highly chaotic tactical environment, the deputy acted both bravely and prudently, and who knows how many lives he saved by engaging Harris. So, how does that fit with those claiming the guard "was not on campus"? |

Hmmm. Maybe Glenn Beck can help me with the correct translations of late 18th century speech, instead? Certainly, this guy has it wrong. Right, rights? |

Hmmm. Maybe Glenn Beck can help me with the correct translations of late 18th century speech, instead? Certainly, this guy has it wrong. Right, rights? I have seen it "elsewhere". We have seen several other quotes appearing "elsewhere" being repeated here. So, when I debate "elsewhere", I tend to share the same information here. |
