We had a bit of snow last night, maybe 2 or 3 cm. The way people were reacting you'd think it really was the end of the world. :\

Snow?!? in Canada?!? ;)

I just realized my vacation doesn't really start until Saturday. Hmmm.

Well, here's to hoping nothing happens Friday, so I can enjoy my week+ off.

He bought too much :-)))

You wouldn't want to run out of booze at the end of the world party. You'd never hear the end of it :)

Well, exactly, cant have the end of the world without enough booze. I mean, one has to keep up standards you know.

Hmmm...I could handle it;)

I just bet you could ;-)

Well, one can't be too careful about these things....

The end of the world is based on the Mayan Calendar. It's only 10 in the morning on the 20th in Chichen-itza, Yucatán, Mexico. They are -6 UTC. We have a few hours left.

Assuming I can make it through the major snowstorm we are having here, I shall be at work tonight at the stroke of midnight CST. Which is 6:00 UTC. So if the big event is set for 11:11 UTC, I should have time to be home and primed and ready to say hello to my maker.

LOL.

It seems the end of the world here will occur at 9pm tomorrow. Some kind of beginning of the weekend I'd say...

There are some earlier dates.
Whenever we finally run out of IPV4 addresses (assuming we have not actually iplemented IPV6 yet). IANA is out, Asia Pacific is out, and Europe is out. North America and South America run out sometime in 2014 (2 different dates). Africa runs out in 5 to 10 years.

When the MSDOS date time rolls.
When the Unix date time rolls.

I'd tell it to a blonde I know, but I would still be explaining it on Saturday.

Oh dear, I really really shouldn't do this, but it's the end of the world, so what the heck.

Q. How can you tell Irish computer users?
A. They are the ones with tipp-ex on their screen.

Before I could get the joke, I had to do a Goodsearch on Tipp-ex.....LOL.
