Hi folks! According to my account, 39 work units have been downloaded on 19 JUL 2012 and should be in progress. Hard fact is: There's none of them on my system! What went wrong? What to do, if so? Greetings, Michel Om mani padme hum. |

Hi folks! They are ghost units. Do not worry. You have nothing to do. Tullio |

Hi folks! Depends where you're looking for them. If it's the Tasks pane of the Advanced view in BOINC Manager, a common problem is: Check the state of the topmost 'Command' button in the left pane. If it says 'Show all tasks', you're currently only seeing active tasks. Click to display the inactive (ready to start) tasks as well. If that's not it, give us more detail. |

Thanks Tullio & Richard, I am really sure that these units are not in my BIONIC Manager. They also did not get lost on my HD, therefore I tend to believe they're ghost units. BTW: Are ghost units a common problem? It's the first time that I noticed it. Om mani padme hum. |

Thanks Tullio & Richard, To clarify a little, when your host asked for work 19 July the Scheduler set up that list of tasks to send, but your host didn't get the reply. It probably then asked for work from one of the other projects you run, and topped up the cache that way. The next time it asks for work from S@H, the servers will see that it didn't get that previously assigned work and send it again. The first request should get 20, the second request 19 more, assuming it's asking for that much work. Ghost units are perhaps more common here than at other projects simply because the communication link is almost always congested, making it more likely that a Scheduler reply will be lost. Joe |

Hi Joe, in context to the last Wu having been provided, it absolutely makes sense. Seems, all these WUs that should have been there as of 19 JUL are now sent. Thnaks a lot for this clarification. Greetings, Michel Om mani padme hum. |
