Sometimes the program really made me angry, and complete the upload wait time is too long. Recommendation: The "improvement" task bar "waiting for report" pending problems, the computer to complete immediately after the upload, without waiting. |

Combining "Reporting" with "Uploading" causes too much strain on the SETI@Home database. SETI@Home are not going to change this. Also, I'd suggest that if the way software works makes you angry, try not micro-managing BOINC and simply let it do its thing. |

Sometimes the program really made me angry, and complete the upload wait time is too long. Also, if you are on dialup or have some other normally disconnected connection, do the following: 1) Set "maintain enough work for" to be slightly longer than the duration between connections. (do this once) 2a) Set up a schedule for the network connections. 2b) When you disconnect from the internet, do the following: Tell BOINC that it cannot use the internet. Disconnect from the internet. On connecting, do the reverse (connect, then tell BOINC that it can connect). BOINC WIKI |

I have the patience, thank you, I just want it to quickly upload the finished file. |

Why? There's no rush to quickly upload the finished file. The data comes from light-years away, I think a day isn't going to hurt one bit. |

I have the patience, thank you, I just want it to quickly upload the finished file. The first rule of seti@home is you do not talk about the slow servers The second rule of seti@home is the servers are overworked and slow The third rule of seti@home is you do not complain about: -slow uploads/slow downloads -slow or no work availability If you are unhappy with how busy your machine is (or isn't), you can always contribute to a second project. This will make sure your machine wont run out of work. #resist |
